He also did not have accuracy issues in college, so I don’t think it’s who he is.

I see this more as the coordinator’s problem scheming guys open. I mean no one seemed to be open, which led to his pressing to make a play/give his guys a chance to make one.

AND, to be fair, a case of a rookie QB needing to grow, mature, gain wisdom. His OC and QB coach need to step up there!
The throw in the 4th qtr where he overthrew Moore by fifteen yards, Moore had the DB beat inside ten yards out and CW never threw the ball until ten more yards and heaved it rather than hit him in stride. The next miss to Moore is when Moore took off his helmet in disgust for such another bad throw. We're talking not even close in scenarios he had time in the pocket. What a mess.

I was expecting a lot of rookie mistakes, misreading the D, not being able to handle the blitz etc

But his accuracy is a big worry right now. He has been extremely bad

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs

  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
His accuracy is way below average thus far. Either under or overthrown.
He's being blitzed almost every play. He was 11-12 at one point when he could actually finish his drop back

OL isn't helping much either but he isn't ready. Certainly some arm talent there but I am not sure trial by fire is the best way to handle a #1 pick.
Some rookie QBs have a longer learning curve that others. Time will tell.

Jayden Daniels, far from perfect, seems to be coming along quickly, nonetheless. Bo Nix is struggling much like Caleb.

I'm more interested in how CW looks a month from now.

Here's the play CW was flagged for intentional grounding, look at how fking open the back is at the top with three blockers and a throw that could have been in rhythm, hell, it even looks like he's even looking at him and never throws. Would have beaten that blitz. argh!!!!! WTF? Damn well may have scored. Game Bears. BTW, a fking perfect call by the OC and CW held it. Again, all seen with JF for three fking years.

Here's one of those blitz's and he, CW, had the back wide fking open and didn't throw it and instead took an intentional grounding. It most likely would have gone for a TD and he didn't throw. Within 2.5 seconds which is standard time even in a blitz. Look at it!! What you said was nothing but an excuse, he had plays he didn't make. I can post others where he could have easily beaten the blitz down on their goal line. Come on, you're letting your quest for the GOAT QB in the draft, face reality and this is what the number one pick missed right here.

New O, OC, rookie qb..:yep. Gonna take a bit. Oline sucks. Poles needs to stop playing money ball with the line and spend some money.

Caleb needs to hit the intermediate to long shots…or at least give his guys a chance…other than those throws (maybe 5-6). I thought he improved from last week. If his confidence isn’t completely shot, I expect him to improve next week. Once he starts hitting those and learns to punish the d for blitzing he will be a good qb.
Yeah, IF and that's a mighty big if, this unit is legit they should at least be competent looking during the next stretch against more beatable teams. The defense has had more time for cohesion; the main components for the offense is working together for the first time this season.

for me it's really quite simple, receivers open, throw the fking ball. Look at my post with the photo of the nonthrow to a wide open back. yeah

He will get better against the blitz with time, because he is going to see a lot of it.

He was 11/12 at one point without the blitz...

Once he learns the blitz it will help....that being said, having a workable oline and running game is a must.

Worth noting that this was less than one second after the ball was snapped. Yikes.

Man it's so simple. You should be the starting Bears QB.

I would if I were the First Pick of the draft. That's who he is right? Funny the reaction from certain people like you! When the facts destroy your simple little world bubba.

Here's one of those blitzes, Lines fault in your world that this ended up being intentional grounding? Hilarious.
