The pressures includes the sacks, so there were probably 8 plays without pressure. Still that is an astonishing figure.

Seeing what I saw in DJ's face was pretty fucking scary.

Keenan is clearly on Caleb's side but if he ain't playing what good is that. DJ looked absolutely at 10 on about 5 plays today. Caleb needs to get his shit together ASAP because this team knows they're ready to win right fucking now. The fan base has his back but the lockeroom might not.
Then get some effing separation on your routes!

This is precisely why I advocated for keeping Fields and getting "The Haul" -- BECAUSE this team is ready to contend.... but then you set the progress clock back when you insert a rookie because he will need time to develop. Fields had already gone through that learning curve and was taking on more of a veteran presence -- just add to it and take things to the next level. Going to Caleb is almost like starting all over again.

That said, I think Caleb will be anywhere from big time to very, very good IN TIME. But it looks like he is not ready now.

I hope he proves me wrong this season because if he doesn't, its gonna another wasted year.
Even if Poles went for the haul this team wouldn’t have contended with how horrible the O line is. This entire team is bad because of the o line..

36 out of 37 pass plays had pressure. You can't use the plural form of "play" here.

Is the play you're referencing the single play without pressure?
The overthrow to Odunze in the 4 th was ridiculous Go ahead and make excuses and blame others. To be expected

Do they though? Do you honestly think this team thinks they can hang with the best after seeing their o line get absolutely destroyed? HOF QBs would look like Ryan Leaf behind this OL.

This. They don’t know shit yet and how could they. New offensive coaches, so many new starters including a rookie QB.

that’s not what the league would consider “ready to compete”

Nobody is blaming others. We are simply asking you to tell us what all of these plays, plural, were without pressure since the stats indicate that there was exactly one. One. Not “ plays,” plural. One.

Honestly the Bears won’t be ready to compete for a while. Unless Poles steps the f*ck up and puts every resource into actually turning the OL around next year. Then maybe the Bears can compete

Fields threw for 117yards today, he is not the answer either.

Fields also had the #2 rushing attach in the league last year, he helped that quite a bit but still... I can’t imagine a running game being worse than what Waldron has put together. It’s a fucking disaster. Even on the miracle rushing TD, the pulling guard face plants not 2 steps in. How many 3rd and 8+ did Caleb see last night?

Teams have figured out that if they concentrate on stopping the run, Williams cant beat em. If teams stack the LOS and blitz, the Bears are doomed. The OL cant pick up a blitz to save their lives. The Texans were in the backfield all night, and every other team will use the same game plan until the Bears stop it. In game one they had the same problem, but the D and ST saved them.
BTW, can Williams throw a pass longer than 5 yards that isnt overthrown or intercepted? Just asking.

Remember how bad our defense was last year without Sweat? How when one part of the system can't get it done the rest of a very talented system will fail? That's what's happening with the offense right now.

The sky isn't falling, the offense is struggling right now behind an offensive line that is not playing well. Get a hold of yourselves.

2 games in and we get this thread..

What a treat
The current "our QB sucks and it's all over AGAIN" climate around here after Caleb's 2 games in the NFL make me want to consider a lurking vacation... sure many more threads to come.

When you miss a wide open receiver by 10 yards with no pressure I don’t think blaming the 0 line works
Was that the 1 dropback where he wasn't pressured?
