Anything less than this is a failure.
CW has more weapons, a better O-line, and a better D.
Bears also could have selected CJ Stroud in 2023.
That would be one hell of a year.

Anything less than Stroud is a failure :ROFLMAO:
I knew the trolls by idiocy would eventually come.

Stroud isn't on the Bears. If the McCaskeys are making "suggestions" that are causing the same issues for the last 40 years one of those issues is not letting QBs be QBs and Williams won't be allowed to get that many yards or TDs.

As far as Stroud, I think that interception to TD ratio is a record not just a rookie record. Anyone who says you need record breaking to be a success is a troll from another team trying to stir up shit. And we know that troll is for another team.

Alright friends, with twelve of seventeen games (about 2/3), these are his projections. Who feels good about their offseason projections?

I am feeling pretty on the mark so far. I wasn't on with my projections on receiver stats, but for Williams:
In round numbers, Geno Smith (starting 15 games, Drew Lock got 2) threw 500 passes, 3600 yds, 20 TDs, 9 INTs. Over 17 games, if Caleb Williams puts that up as a rookie, I would be genuinely impressed. There are a lot of good defensive talents in this division and I think that those matchups are going to be tough on the rookie. I would think that Williams tosses more interceptions while he seasons, but that's life in the NFL.

Caleb just threw 200+ yards and 3 TDs in one half. You do not know that.
I guess you’re right, but I’d probably bet against it. He’d need a really good final 5 games… going into the rougher weather.

He needs to average around 280 a game to close out, right?

It is not an unheard of thing to do. Suppose it happens because he puts up 400 against GB to close out the season. I'll buy the champagne if we see that happen.

Other than a few outliers most of us had fairly similar projections. And most are pretty close to what he is putting up.

TD’s are at the low end of the projections. The only thing we were almost all of on was turnovers. In a good sense. Don’t know how many fumbles he has but it cant be very many. I doubt anyone had him at only 7 interceptions. Of course there are 5 more games left so that could all change. One or two bad games where he throws like 4 and those numbers change. Schedule is brutal too so it’s possible.

Is that because Caleb set a record and still wasn't really a success?

And Baker Mayfield had 27 TDs in 13 starts his rookie year.

I think INTs will be high for Caleb, but with the best WR corps in the NFL, why shouldn't I expect 22-24 TDs?
they sure didn't turn out to be, not even close, not even the best in the division, believing they were better then the Vikings was unrealistic to begin with

Ugh, not this again. Would you characterize Caleb's rookie year as being a 'success'? That's fine if you do....I wouldn't. His effeciency stats were terrible. How that makes me an idiot, perhaps you can explain that one to me. I would term Caleb surviving his rookie year, not really succeeding it.
