JT Tuimoloau. That playoff stat line is impressive. His build looks freakish and intimidating. I’d take him.
JT, Donovan Jackson, Williams, Judkins, Henderson, and Sawyer…

I would not mind any of them ending up on the Bears.

Simmons too if his knee is solid.

Williams is the only possibility in rd 1, but he really needs more pass rush development and production for my taste at 10.
I'd much rather wait for Tuimoloau/Jackson/Sawyer/Burch on day 2.
Yep. Don’t want the bears to over draft someone based off a need. Don’t love any of the edges in the top 10-15 range. Obviously, Carter not included because he’ll be long gone. Williams and Stewart are both big time projects with high bust potential. It’s probably more likely than not that they do not live up to top 10 expectations.

This draft is weird…while I’m usually against this idea, drafting jeanty at 10 might be the best option in terms of need, BPA, and overall impact. I’d also love to trade down, acquire another 2nd, and draft Hampton in the 17-20 range.

I really like the OSU guys. Measurements probably will tank Sawyer, but I’d be perfectly fine with JT. I think the value of JT in the 2nd is probably better than the edges an available at 10.

Watching Michigan's interior DL dominate Ohio State last week of the season...Kenneth Grant is eye popping. I get 10 is probably too rich for him, but holy shit. Great clip on YouTube of that game- particularly from 6 minutes on in the 2nd half. He dominated.

Warren could be the next Kelce. Would you really pass on Kelce for a Taylor Decker?
LOL such a silly hypothetical. He COULD be but likely isn’t. Kyle Pitts was supposed to change the game at TE. How’s that go.

Every QB in the 6th round COULD be the next Tom Brady. … blah blah blah

If they want a freak athletic rb then they could just take one of the many in the draft this year. Milroe is absolutely abysmal at qb that's why there isn't 1st round hype
I think in 15 years we'll look back and think it odd that teams only had one capable thrower on the field at a time in this era.

Not saying it's an every play thing but I think it's a natural progression with QBs getting more athletic. And I do think Milroe is in some rare air on the athleticism side.

I think Johnson understands this too with all the trick plays the Lions ran.

I just have the feeling that this years draft players are just going to be alright in their NFL careers. I feel like there isn’t top tier players this year. And that’s ok. It is what it is. And obviously this is just a feeling I have. Just wanted to say that, is all.

But the list of Bear flops at both offensive and defensive lines is a long and sorry one.

If Will Johnson falls to 10, do you take him?

We have a thread on this, and no, we dont need a cornerback

He's also coming preinjured and has had nagging injuries for months now

I actually really like Cody simon as a late round lb depth/ST player as well. I thought he stood out a few times in the playoffs but haven't heard anything about him in the draft.

At edge I'd be pretty shocked if bears don't end up with one of shemar, mykel, jtt, Jackson or burch. Jtt is probably my favorite of the bunch, as I've been high on him for a couple years even though he's not an explosive athlete.

I also think kaleb Johnson is bound to be a bear unless he goes before 39/41. He seems like a perfect fit for Johnson. His zone running vision is great and his contact balance plus receiving skills are very good. He lacks explosion but I think he could be a better version of Monty in Detroit.

I keep seeing Simon projected as a 6th or 7th round pick.

I think you’re right about a lot of what you posted.

I do have this weird feeling they want Jeanty, but hopefully some team takes him off the board before 10.

My thoughts on the draft after the FA period:
1) The DL talent is rich this year compared to other positions. We should be able to get someone impactful in the 2nd round.
2) I still think drafting an OT at 10 is the best course of action, especially with Braxton's looming FA and Kiran's uncertainty.
3) Do not get the hype with Warren or Jeanty, especially Jeanty. Would rather wait until the 2nd to take one of Ohio St Rbs or trade up to late first to take Omar.

I love jeanty but think ol/dt is the best use of #10. If they take jeanty I'll be okay with it though.

What are your thoughts on Simon as an nfl prospect?

I’m kind of surprised Simon is being projected that way (6th or 7th). He was unbelievable in the Rose Bowl shellacking of the Ducks. I think he’s a much better player and fit for Dennis Allen than our outgoing hero Jack Sanborn.
