Actually, yes.We got rid of Crawford in 2004 after we drafted Ben Gordon right?

Actually, yes.
Well I'm sure he did. Doesn't mean he wasn't right in getting rid of Crawford. I was okay with getting rid of Crawford.I think Paxson wanted to get rid of a lot of the Krause guys and start the team from scratch in his image and it started in 2003 with Hinrich and took off in 04 with the drafting of Gordon and Duhon and trading for Deng and signing Noc after the draft.

Yes, thats why when Paxson came in he drafted Kirk. Since no one knew if Jay would ever be the same (and wasn't).I was ok too.
Was Jay Williams a Krause draft pick? Remember that hype even though his rookie season left nothing to be desired?

There's many articles that read that many were surprised Krause stayed in that draft. Thought he would trade out for a future 1st rounder.I remember in 00 when we traded Mihm for Crawford.
That 2000 draft was![]()

Krause's overall drafting leaves much to be desired outside of the Pippen trade and Horace Grant pick.
Hmmm.. well lets take a look (Draft day trades included here)I agree. I think if you put an all time team of Krause's draft picks and an all time team of GarPax's all time draft picks then GarPax more than likely has the advantage. That's just me though.
Krause never exactly made a big time trade either outside of the draft.Krause was better at trades, while GarPax is better at drafting
Hmmm.. well lets take a look (Draft day trades included here)
Krause:
C: Eddy Curry
PF: Elton Brand
SF: Scottie Pippen
SG: Jamal Crawford
PG: BJ Armstrong
Bench:
F: Ron Artest
F: Charles Oakley
F: Toni Kukoc
F: Horace Grant
C: Tyson Chandler
That bench lacks guards.. Krause lacks guards..
Paxson:
C: Joakim Noah
PF: Niko Mirotic
SF: Luol Deng
SG: Jimmy Butler
PG: Derrick Rose
Bench:
F: Taj Gibson
G: Ben Gordon
G: Kirk Hinrich
F: Tony Snell
C: Omer Asik
Trading Ron Artest and Brad Miller for Jalen Rose and garbage is the other trade thats notable. Wouldn't say that had much a net effect though.

I excluded player who sucked from that All-Time list.Did he not draft Stacey King?...who sucked.
Krause seemed obessed with PF's.Krause only drafted or draft traded for only 2 guards in his reign?
:yep:it wasn't until 2000 that it started becoming a guard centric league with your Kobes, Wades, Iversons etc
but Krause did have a fetish for forwards
i remember one day i looked at his draft history and he took a forward every single year lol
