I'm glad he's gone. No point in paying him to be hurt and bat .270. Yeah, we miss his offense, but there's no reason to pay him big over another 3-4 years when we can be developing young talent.

i agree it be dumb to pay him or 3-4 yrs while rebuilding. I think everyone just took him for granite though. Cubs didnt have hitting 3B for 30+ yrs. Have to hope after A-ram it dont take that long lol
