Don't want to derail the thread, but doctors don't know shit about cholesterol. It's good for you. Your brain is made of it. Get rid of sugar and reduce carbs down to <20g a day and you can eat all the fat you want.

But try my chicken recipes. They are not difficult and they are very tasty.

Scientists. :smh:

I'll derail. My buddy is a doctor, told me what was an acceptable cholesterol 25 years ago is now deemed as unhealthy. Luckily, they have medication for that. Unfortunately for us, it was the drug companies that convinced doctors of this.

For the record I am not eating more chicken/fish only to help my cholesterol.... I also need to try to drop weight.

If dis building catches on fire and I get knocked out he will need a dog sled and some plow horses to get me outta here.

Chicken/fish mixed in to my normal red meat diet should help, no?

Should help. I usually did a 2 to 1 ratio of chicken meals to beef meals when I wanted to shed a few pounds.

If you wanna drop wait, do paleo diet. My wife has lost 30 lbs of preggo weight and is almost back to her college figure. I've lost about 10 lbs and am ready to start greasing up my abs like despbro.

Seems like an interesting diet.... I don't think I can do it completely TBH.... but I am trying to avoid a number of things they list.... I have cut my soda consumption down a ton.... stopped drinking so much milk on average.... stopped eating so much pasta....

It feels like every diet out there says the same shit though..... eat less processed sugary food and eat more farm to table type stuff and you will be healthier.

I think I could get there for dinners.... but idk wtf I would do for breakfast/lunch.... I got that down to cup of oatmeal/coffee and a PB&J+Goldfish crackers for lunch.... seems like none of that would slide for this Paleo diet.... would need to bring a bag of pecans and a banana to work I guess.

Imo at the end of the day, it's about burning more calories than you intake so however that works for you, go that route. Certain diets do make that easier though.

As long as you don't go full paleotard. That's basically the gateway to ending up in a crossfit class wearing knee socks.

More veggies, fresh fruit, &healthy fat. Less bread and sugar. Those are bigger than cutting red meat. You could also substitute bison for beef if you don't really want to give up red meat

I am trying to eat more Chicken and limit my red meat intake.... doc bitching at me for cholesterol.

I have 4 Chicken breasts in da fridge.

I am thinking I might try this recipe tonight on one of them:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-honey-nut-chicken/

Anyone got anything else simple but good.... marinade and bake in over or sear and finish in oven is where I am looking to go.

Now HHM is going to tell me to make Chicken with a recipe involving 82 ingredients and 10 hours of prep/cooking time lol

When it comes to chicken breast use your own imagination. Use whatever ingredients/spices you like, have on hand, or can afford at the time.

Get a couple bottles of marinade for like a $1.50 from Wally-world, marinade them while at work then bake when you get home. 20 minutes and your done.

S.O.S. chicken is good and easy also. Put a teaspoon of each; Salt, Oregano, & Sage in a bowl and mix. Olive oil the breast then liberally sprinkle the SOS on the chicken then bake/grill, shits good. Awesome on whole chickens, too.

Butterfly some breast and stuff with feta, sun dried tomatoes, and baby spinach. Toothpick or tie them shut. Flour, egg, breadcrumb (Panko & Parm cheese mix), then pan fry in olive oil or throw in the oven.

If your going to be eating a lot of chicken coming up, invest in a couple spices/special ingredients you really like. Smoked Paprika, Sesame Oil...shit like that.

The more I think about it, I think you should go crazy with butterflying chicken breast and stuffing them. Possibilities are endless. And get good with sauces, or just buy the packets. The beauty of chicken is you make it taste however you season/sauce them.

If the chicken is cut thin enough, 20 minutes is fine

That is true. That's also more work. I mean in mexican places they make chicken in just a couple of minutes on a hot grill.

of course the post didn't say to slice it thin or dice it before hand and for a novice cook they could get sick fast.
