Laughing at Tom Brady
Less pressure in the sense they obviously need to rebuild so he likely gets a few years of grace. Any new Bears coach is likely going to be expected to make the Bears a playoff contender this year.

Wrong he will have insane pressure there. You think the Raiders fans are patient? They are used to a new coach every 2 years minimum.

He will get a pass year one but you will hear about all these jobs he passed up. If he isn’t winning and I mean playoffs by year 2 his shine will be gone.

Year 3 he has to win or he will be fired for sure.

Hmm so he didn't think being accused of sexually assaulting like 20-30 women was an issue that could affect his play. Seems pretty dense to me if true.
You said he signed off on a bad contract and i said he didn't sign off on the contract, the ownership did.

What makes Stefanski worth giving up a draft pick for? He hasn't been a HC long and almost certainly signed off on one of the worst traded and contracts in NFL history while failing miserably at getting Watson to play remotely close to his peak with the Texans.

I will confess I haven't followed him at all so maybe I am missing something.
Wasn’t it ownership that pursued Watson? I’ll confess I don’t know the details on that. But what I can say is that he probably had nothing to do with that dumb contract.

He’s a good coach. I don’t think CLE lets him walk. Monken is my guy, then Brady.

They added a profanity filter just recently.

No clue why, when there isnt a single person under 30 posting on this forum
But there's several people on here that act like they're under 15.

It’s not for you Remy. Warren wants shovels in the ground this year. He needs hype for the team. Monken isn’t going to get anyone excited in the offseason. He might in the regular season that isn’t the point.
Warren allegedly wants Freeman not Johnson.

When the report came out that Johnson wanted 15m a year last year you claimed it was not true and that it wasn't about the money. Now you saying state taxes matter. LMFAO!

Not to mention claims are still that he wants like 15-16 million a year.
Ok dumbass, saying claims he wanted 15 million a year is not true and saying money doesn't matter are not the same thing.
Not surprised your dumbass doesn't realize this.

The annual salaries are most often due to timing. It's a game of leapfrog. The highest paid players, for example, are the ones who most recently signed contracts, not necessarily the very best.

Jordan Love makes more than many better QBs, for example.

The Bears can certainly negotiate with Johnson or any coach based on where salary ranges are for coaches, but you don't simply say "We think you'll be better than Stefanski, but not as good as Shanahan, so we're offering the midpoint between their salaries."
Agreed. Its like any other open market....what you paid for your house isn't necessarily what your house is worth.

If the Bears want to offer Johnson less than what an established NFL HC with experience makes, then that is their right, but it wouldn't be based on anything in the real world. It would be based in some hypothetical remy world that doesn't mirror reality. Which would be funny coming from a franchise that once made Jay Cutler the highest paid player in NFL history due to the most inept salary cap 'magician' the sports world has ever seen.

The highest paid recent first time HC is MacDonald at 9 million. 16 million is not the going rate for a 1st time HC.

So you would be going up 77% on the high from last year.

Imagine being the hottest coaching candidate of the last decade and you have two interviews, one with Tom Brady and the other with Tanesha Wade the party planner
In one interview Tom Brady is asking who he needs to fire and hire to make Ben Johnson feel like he can win for the Raiders.
In the next Liz Geist is badgering him about why his name on Zoom doesn’t have (he/him/his) at the end.

You used allegedly.

I'm going to delete that and say Warren wants Freeman.

If there were no truth to it we wouldn't have Finebaum writing articles that college football needs to do more to keep it's top coaches.
