I agree. But Pete is a good get for them to rebuild that program. They need a steady hand and he will probably designate an heir apparent to take over.

It's good for long-term consistency.
Do you think he will consider Ron Rivera for OC? He knows run pro and would be a great air a parent. What has watching all those NFL types over the years led you to believe?

Yes you counter argued against something that had nothing to do with my point..

My point again was Monken has been the OC for multiple different QBs that have completely different skillsets. BJ has not. Considering CW has a completely different skillset compared to Goff, BJ ability to adapt to a different QBs skillset is an unknow.. so that makes him a bit more of a risk.

So what does "Monken had talented QBs" have to do with that? absolutely nothing, its just more vortex strawman nonsense

You have already said you are letting the NFL do the thinking for you so why are you even vortexing about this anyway?
My point was most of those guys were top QBs and any decent OC can help them play well. That really isnt all that special a thing.

There are different ways to consider risk. I am telling you the NFL isnt measuring risk the way you are because if they were Monken would already be a HC.

Plenty of OCs have worked with multiple QBs and yet many of them like Monken dont get jobs because they arent considered HC material. Such is life.

I think it’s more of a culture turnaround. I don’t expect him to win much, especially in that division, but he’s not a dumpster fire like McDaniels, Pierce, Gruden, and all the other idiots before them. I wouldn’t be surprised if they signed Geno Smith as the bridge QB. They could have done much, much worse. But how many candidates really wanted to go to LV? No QB and not much talent all over the roster. Some nice pieces but not much else.

Geno's under contract for another year.

What is interesting about Pete that was one of the reasons why I felt like I missed on Waldron being bad is that he instills confidence onto others through basically pure force of will. His personality and belief is so strong that he gets dudes who aren't great thinking that they are.

Happened with Geno, Russ, Sanchez and Matt Leinart.

Carrol is a good get for the Raiders. The dude got fired and then went ans taught at USC. He has a passion for what he does and is just what the Raiders need to clear out the dysfunction.

He also helps because Brady and Spytek an inexperienced in their roles so he can help guide them as well given how involved he was in running the whole show with the Seahawks.

I wonder if the Schottenheimer rumor is a way to bring down expectations so fans are excited about Kellen Moore. I mean the guy is in no position to negotiate if he was offered the job it would be done. Jerry watches these sports shows and they are absolutely roasting them. Ryan Clark begged Steven A Smith to stop talking about the Cowboys if they do this. 🤣

"Most of those guys being top QBs" has nothing to do with what I said or my point..

Also side note Fitzpatrick is a top QB? Lol

Also the NFL risk assessment that you are putting all your faith into isn't very good considering the average tenure of a HC in the NFL is 3 years.

i actually don't want the 3rd round picks for Cunningham, he's the only one who seems to be able to stop Poles from giving too much away and what will poles do with a 3rd round pick anyway?
