He doesn't have his own opinions. He flip flopped all over the place last year with the Fields/Caleb stuff but he's maybe helping Breer out a bit on it?

I think Breer is helping pump up Vrabel's value - he's a Pat's guy so he's clearly got ties to Vrabel.

Did he? Supposedly he must be having early onset dementia because he never remember supporting fields or mitch :)

Have the Bears interviewed Thomas Brown yet?

Honestly I know you're joking but I do like TB a lot.

Would be awesome if the new HC found a spot on the staff for him. It seems like a lot of the offensive guys particularly have a lot of respect for him.

He'll land on his feet just fine too. Kind of a shame his first chances at being an OC and HC were in miserable situations.

T Brown sucks, but nothing personal against him. Hope he learns and grows somewhere else.

Let’s be glad they didn’t literally ever interview him
BB wouldn’t be my first choice, but one of the worst franchises in sports could do a lot worse than one of the best coaches of all time.

He turned after the Packers game.

He's just a mouthpiece in the off-season. He was going insane with the Caleb hype.

Maybe this was known... but I was just taking a look... and since Halas stopped coaching in 1966, we've only had 3 offensive-minded head coaches: Ditka, Trestman, and Nagy.

That's kind of nuts. And I know, the Steelers haven't had an offensive minded coach at all during that same time frame, but they've had some all-time head coaches (Noll, Cowher, Tomlin)

Problem is he would make a bigger mess of the roster. No problem with his coaching but his personnel choices were awful in his last few years. It would be one giant pissing competition with the front office.

If the Bears and Pats both offered Vrabel the job, I am willing to bet he picks the Bears.

Brian Flores made it seem like he hopes he gets a chance with the Patriots.

But he also seems like he'd take any job that's offered to him.

Flores is in no position to turn down a job after what happened in Miami. He will take anything as he should.

I agree with you but the problem is the Bears will be to slow. They gotta interview 15 bums while the Patriots interview Vrabel,Johnson then are making offers. Difference between a no nonsense franchise and a clown show.

Wonder how Bears 'slow moving' operation will affect new HC staff selection? There only so many decent prospects to fill a staff.

Antonio Pierce, a player's coach a leader of men liked by the players in Vegas had been a player in the NFL had coached at all levels etc etc etc.

Was an awful head coach.

Where have we seen this before?

Being a good coach is 90 percent a media driven narrative. Your destiny in the NFL is about who your past connections are who currently have a job in the NFL and whether or not someone in the media likes you enough to label you a good coach.

You gotta wonder how many of the Bears top prospects are other teams top prospects and where they stand in ranking. Obviously those coaches in the playoffs will have to be waited on. McCarthy will have to be waited on. Vrabel seems like he will be in NE.

I don’t know if other teams will rush to sign the lesser names on the Bears requested list. I don’t think the slow moving process will hurt the Bears. The Bears will hurt themselves by not choosing the right coach.

The Bears fired Flus over a month ago. What has Poles been doing since then in regards to researching and vetting HC candidates?! Why do we have 13 or 15 names or whatever it is on our list of coaches? This is absolutely ridiculous. Maybe you have 5 names you really like, not 15. It seems like a very cumbersome process.

Well this makes me feel a whole lot better and frankly has Kevin Warren's fingerprints all over it because it's certainly isn't the McCaskeys:

Looks like Ben Johnson is the primary target for the Bears, and all these other names we heard were just back up if it doesn't go well.

That's new for the Bears. Have a guy and go after him.
