I admire the passion in your post but I implore you to try it. There is not a very big difference between cream and a high quality unsalted butter EXCEPT that when you blend the butter with the coffee you get the most creamy frothy deliciousness... it's like christmas morning every morning. I have to say that the MCT oil is the most important part though. It gives you brain clarity, it actually helps burns fat and it aids the time release of the caffeine through out the day so you get maximum all day energy.
Just make sure that if you feel adventurous and want to try this that you buy the best beans available to you and ONLY ever put grass fed UNSALTED butter in your coffee.
I promise you wont regret it.
And while you're at it feel free to add pure vanilla or protein powder for flavor or sweetness.

You may be right, Mary, but with all due respect I have to say I am optimally happy with my Ritual beans, coarse ground, steeped in a Press for about 3 minutes, with 2 fingers of unsweetended original almond milk. Don't need or want anything better, nom nom nom. I don't add butter to bread or anything, including coffee. And yes, I am moderately lactose intolerant so I wouldn't qualify as a lab rat for this concoction.

Great that it works for you, really, just curious - what's your bean of choice? And I have lived in CA for many, many years and have never met a local Islanders fan, please explain.

Bullet Proof beans when I can afford them. They are processed in a special way so the toxin levels are very low. Have you ever noticed when you have a crappy coffee and ur still tired? probably high mold levels. If I can't get BP Beans I like Bob Marley One Love coffee beans. yum.
There's quite a few Isles fans in SoCal... I had a bf who got me into hockey years and years ago. Needless to say he was an isles fan and I never liked the kings or the ducks so the isles have been my team for like 10 years now. I love my team, but there are very few Isles fans that I like... it's sad.
I can honestly say that out of the whole league...Chicago has the best fans hands down. Every fan base has their assholes, but some have more than others. Hawks are a great team with great fans. I come in peace as an Isles fan and in admiration of the Hawks organization :)
Oh yeah thanks for Leddy... love him.

I like you Mary, but contemplating some disliking for bringing up Leddy, especially last night after being forced to watch Cumiskey shit the blue line.

Throw in Buff, Ladd, Hayes, etc. and essentially the Hawks are restocking other NHL's teams with our Cap-purged personnel. Goodbye in advance, Patrick Sharp, will miss you but good luck in Edmonton. Bickell, won't miss you as much. Versteeg, seeya.

Hawks are winning the cup so there's nothing to worry about. If you need to get out some frustration and dislike me, go for it. :)
But yeah, not trying to be a jerk, just love him.

I just checked out their page.. no I'm not a member.
Looks kinda gimmicky.. I'll have to look into it some more.

So the Food Babe is kinda gimmicky, but expensive coffee with butter and MCT oil isn't.

I'd like to hear more about your belief system.

Relax kid, I said it LOOKS kinda gimmicky and I would look into it.
Coffee with butter is no gimmick. You can't put a price on the value of a good coffee bean! nor the energy clarity and overall mood this stuff gives you.
I looked at the site... it looks like a great site for people who are trying to get into eating well. There are so many blogs now. I take a few things from different sites and leave what doesn't work for me. If I had a belief system I would say that I believe in the power of fresh healthy organic foods to heal and detoxify the body.

Never was much of a coffee addict until I began drinking iced coffee. Now I am hooked.

The only type of coffee I don't like are those ice blended drinks or frapuccinos... I don't care how many shots you put in those...it's just not coffee.

Guilty as charged. I used to wolf down a large caramel frappuccino from McDonalds every morning. Now I just get a large iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.

When I was in high school I could drink those things every day. I don't know what happened but they disgust me now.
we don't have dunkin donuts anywhere near. I hear the coffee is really good.

I get headaches from them now. Its why I don't get them anymore. Or anything at all from McDonalds for that matter. I avoid them and Burger King like the plague.

That's what I'm talking about with the toxins. It's no surprise they would have low quality beans because from what I hear their prices are pretty good.
Toxins from mold is probably whats giving you a headache.. some people are more sensitive to it than others.

Bulletproof is based off science. Its the science you choose to follow thats the difference.
I read up on it and the benefits and then I tried it and I love it... That's all the science I need.

It's absolutely not.

Please post the peer reviewed scientific research it's based off of.

Thanks.
