So when you see the all-22 from behind the defense—you’ll see Lewis’s shove to the outside actually pushes Latu to the outside of Kmet’s shoulder, therefore allowing him to easily get by Kmet. It’s literally nothing Latu did, it’s typical Bears clusterfuck blocking that caused this. Kmet never had a good chance to block him once that happened. What a clown show

Remy told me(after watching pff numbers) that Lewis had nothing to do with that play and kmet was clearly at fault.

Lewis definitely had a major hand in that play. Watch his push put Latu in an advantageous position on Kmet. Kmet had him going one way and then Latu is moved to his outside shoulder. Kmet was cooked by then. If Lewis isn’t in this play, Kmet handles this block no problem.p

His piss poor bkocking cost us the game. You know that strip sack you tried to blame on Caleb. He has been fucking terrible as a pass blocker.

Good receiver for sure but playing TE includes blocking which is what yall said he was good at.
You are an absolute fucking idiot if you think one players blocking on offense cost the Bears the game. The entire OL is way more to blame than Kmet.

LOL that's so Bears.

I was very curious to who CW was taking a deep shot to and if it had a chance

No Waldron cost the Bears the game for multiple reasons. Maybe as an OC you don’t leave your TE who you know isn’t the best blocker 1 on 1 with an edge rusher. What an idiotic comment blaming the game on Kmet.

Waldron cost us the game too but Kemt was not 1 on 1. Kmet and Lewis were double teaming a rookie DE with 0 sacks on the year.

Lewis was to his inside so Kmet cannot get beat outside there. That is 100% his fault. If you cant trust 2 260 pound TEs to double team a 260 pound DE then thatvis on the players.

That only happens because Kmet's first step is to slide inside which makes no sense when he has help inside. So that is still on Kmet IMO.

We were down 14-9 and went downn 21-9. It clearly cost us the game. That doesnt mean other players were also at fault.

@bamainatlanta can usually get the win/loss probabilities so I presume he can weigh in on how much that play decreased our chances of winning.

He's not physical. Blocking or when he catches. Dj moore is can juke and run people over. Kmet tries the former and fails, still doesn't leverage his size for the latter imo

I would say he is physical after the catch but needs to apply that to his blocking. Also his technique here is just terrible IMO.

Kmet’s contributions in this game far outweighed the missed block.

A lot of things are wrong with this offense. Cole Kmet isn’t anywhere near the top of that list.
Don't worry about it, @remydat has always hated Kmet so he looks for whatever he can to shit on him. He would of drafted Claypool over Kmet in that draft.

Ad hominem attacks are not a viable argument. His blocking sucked on that play. He has been good for us as a receiver. Both things can be true.

One thing I've noticed in Waldron's offense is that all of the TEs have appeared to be terrible at blocking. Kmet, Lewis, Everett....all ineffective. Lewis has been a beast his whole career, so why he sucks now is interesting. I think its partly the scheme. TEs blocking DEs is pretty mid.

Probably a big reason why Lewis is not good at blocking anymore is because he is 109 years old entering into this season.

Every scheme has a TE on a DE at some point. No excuse for them to blow a double team block of all things.

Usually teams don't have their TEs blocking DEs on plays where the QB takes a 10-yard drop and is trying to synch with his WRs.

Yea, remy is a weirdo who loves stats

He's always hated kmet from day 1, said he had no upside as a receiving TE now has switch it to saying he's a terrible blocker.

How many TE's in the NFL win a block against edge rushers?

Isnt that also the draft he loved jalen reagor? Who got taken a pick before justin jefferson?
