He isn't that type of player, tho. Kelce / Kittle are more WR's playing TE. Both were piss poor blockers coming into the NFL and developed that part of their game.

Always thought it was unfair to compare any TE, not just cold cement, to those unicorns.
that's why i said he'll never be the #1 option like Kelce, Andrews and Kittle. Andrews numbers could even go down some now that they gave Lamar some actual WR weapons with adding ODB and my guy Zay Flowers to R.Bateman.

Great to see, once again the theme of off season signings is young players with experience and results (this equals potential in my book).

It’s an extension doesn’t take effect until next year. His cap hit won’t change this year..
He‘s just getting a signing bonus this year, also remember Cliff Stein is the GOAT capologist..

Overpay. How will Poles bring this team long term success now? The blueprint is destroyed. Doomed:
considering the mega contract that Burrows just signed, I wonder what Justins asking price is going to be, so much for that cap space talk

I think most wanted Kmet extended. The only goober who was vocal about not extending him was Remy, which shouldn't surprise anyone since its Remy.

Deal is fair value for both parties imo.
that's a hell of alot more than fair value for a middle of the road TE

I ripped mine off long ago. No dick left to rip off.

30days away from CFB though! What do you think of Tennessee’s upcoming season? Please beat UGA
I lost my dick during the Tennessee years of 2009-2022

Tennessee should be really good again this year. Lost a lot on offense, but I fully expect Heupel’s offense to continue putting up gaudy numbers.

The hope is the defense will be better this year, in particular the pass defense. If the defense improves, they can play with anyone.

Joe Milton is a Heisman candidate IMO. If he plays like he did against Clemson, Vols will be scary to play.

Still a lot for UT to overcome. They have the longest losing streak of any SEC team @ Florida(even Vandy has won there more recently). That needs to end this year. Opener against Virginia is going to be a tougher game than most realize or think IMO. Bama is still bama. Tennessee also has to play a crazy talented Texas A&M this year(they will likely underwhelm but that talent level is legit). And of course Georgia is the juggernaut, but at least this year the game is in Knoxville

Been a long time since UT went to the SEC title game, let alone win it. This is the goal more so than a natty. If they win the SEC, they’ll have that natty chance

As you can tell, I’m fucking pumped!

He's getting paid the same as Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry. I think Henry is a very good comparable in terms of style and production. Tied for 9th AAV for TE. I wouldn't put him at 9th best in the league but some of those above him are playing on rookie deals and will knock him further down.

Fair contract for both sides

I like guys who like to be Bears.

Agreed. Fair deal. Gotta keep in mind that deals always go up. So the deal he signs today might look a tad high but will look incredibly reasonable or even cheap in a couple more years. That's just how it goes.
