@Les Grossman who would you rather have QBing the bears as of now, Williams or Daniels?

I think Caleb is super tough, but IMO a big difference between Jayden and Caleb is that Jayden is willing to stand in the pocket and take a hit right when he's throwing. A lot of his big plays come from him holding the ball until the last second, taking a hit, and completing a downfield throw. When Caleb sees pressure, his first instinct is to run away.
Agreed. That is the one thing about Caleb that has won me over - his toughness. I definitely give him big credit for that. But yes, also agreed, he is not poised in the pocket - rabbit feet, skittish with his throws, and very inaccurate under pressure. Jayden is so calm under the rush that he makes it seem like he is playing a different game… on a different level altogether. Like he is back there drinking a cup of coffee when all hell is busting loose around him.

Also with Caleb, he accumulates a bunch of empty stats. The key with all of this is what does the final scoreboard say.

True, he just does it for three Qts before then

Yeah that is not how choking works. It typically denotes someone that sucks in crunch time like Fields. Caleb is a slow starter but been pretty good in crunch time. I know that hurts for you to admit as a Fields stan but it is what it is.

If I had to pick a QB for the next game, it'd be Daniels.

But I'm also not quick to rush to all these judgements like those here on this board about who is a "bust" and who is a "HOFer" already.

How badly do we lose next game and does it matter if we keep the streak alive?
IDK but I can guarantee you it won't be as devastating as a loss as your gunslinging boy Rex Grossman delivered at the end of your favorite year 2006.

Nice so all we got to hope is we aren’t down too many scores for Caleb to get his act together for the 4th QT, seems to be working so far

If only Caleb was as accurate as you are inaccurate about my favorite QB

He threw an interception and for some reason their team didn’t fall apart. It’s like constantly being cautious doesn’t help

The int wasn't even his fault either. Bijon basically pitched the ball to the defender and instead of fumble they said he didn't complete the catch.

Nope as Caleb is unlikely to choke in the 4th like Fields was prone to do.
You're right. Caleb just chokes away the entire 1st half, so he can compile impressive garbage time stats in the second half.

Brilliant!!

There are INT’s and fumbles lost… I think Caleb had another fumble lost yesterday too. There are lots of ways of killing a team — another one is missing relatively easy touchdown passes — like the bomb he missed by 10 yards yesterday to a receiver who had broken free. He had another one of those last week too…. and has frequently had those all season. If he hits those, those boost morale and change the complexion of games. If he would have hit some of those we likely pick up quite a bit more wins this year.

Can’t just cherry pick one stat (int’s) and start crowing about Caleb. For instance, Jayden Daniel’s threw a pick yesterday with time running out and a defender right in his face. He was 1 second away from taking a sack. Instead of taking a sack, having to kick away (with little time left in the game)… he did not care about his INT stats… instead he tried to make a play, threw off his back foot while avoiding the sack… and got picked. I don’t mind that. It was either that or take the sack and basically turn the ball over. He took a chance — it was actually a fairly good pass — his bench warming wideout (a guy who would be on the practice squad of most teams) got bulldozed out the way by a defender/shoved him to the side like he was not even there — and picked the ball.

JD would later come back and win the game — his 3rd such come from behind win in the closing seconds. JD almost has more come from behind victories in the last seconds than Caleb has wins for this entire season. Long story short, in striving for greatness I want my guy playing loose, free and letting it rip. I want my guy going for the juggler/going for the W…. even if it bites him in the arse and causes him to throw an INT every now and then.
