I think one of the biggest reasons you might want Watson over Wilson is age. Wilson is probably a top 5 QB for the next 5 years but Watson is for the next 10 years. Even if you trade 3 years of 1st round picks, you still get another window after that.

On talent I’m taking Wilson. On age, it’s obviously Watson.

If I had the choice between the two then you’ve got to go for the longevity, but that’s not to say Wilson can’t play well into his years.

I'd be absolutely thrilled having either in a Bears uniform but the smart move would be to get the 25 year old if that chance is there and as long as it doesn't make you miss out on Wilson. I still think the plan for Russ and the Seahawks is for him to stay at least one more season there.

It's totally irrelevant if you have Russ Wilson. I dont have to think about how good Alex is or isnt.. because if you trade the farm for Russ.. and suddenly you dont get one of Russ's best qualities (iron man).. and he misses games.. then you are screwed anyways IMO. You gave up so much to get him, you are gonna NEED RUSS TO COOK. Paying extra $$ for a premium back up QB like Alex is probly not worth it. Regardless of how well you think he could play. You are gonna need every dollar and every bit of talent surrounding Russ while you have him that you can muster.

It’s lying season and it is out there that the Bears probably more willing to pay up for a QB than anyone else, so maybe trying to temper the ask of the Seahawks.

I don’t see us actually dealing with the Texans. Whatever the worst case scenario is for them, it will happen.
