Wow that's asking for it. How many times he get his name on the cup?

I'd rather be boring and still playing, than exciting and eliminated.

The team in front of him has nothing to do with it, right?

I bet Niemi would still be playing if he was on the Hawks.

But let's not get into facts.

Niemi after 2 rounds on a superior team in 2010

8-4 2.50GAA .909SV%

Crawford after 2 rounds in 2013

8-4 1.70GAA .938SV%

and if you want to say "Crow played Minnesota" I'll counter with "Niemi played Nashville"

Crow really isn't that much better than Niemi, he is better but not by much. So the odds are Niemi would still be playing if he was wearing the indianhead

My argument was that Crow would have won the cup in 2010.

which is why I used my stats argument seen above.

I think any goalie not named Huet could have won a cup that year. Hell, we won game 1 of the SCF 6-5 for christ sake. It was like watching the cup finals of the early 80's

For me as I've said. I have nothing against Corey, I like Corey, I just Niemi more, I like flashy goaltenders and Corey isn't flashy.

Makes sense, I was always a positional goalie, so I just want someone who get's the job done.

I respect them but I have a theory that flashy goalies pump up their team more because their saves always seem to look like big saves even if they weren't. So the crowd (home) gets into it more and I think the players react to it more.

by that theory, it also kills the crowd and the team when a goalie trying to hotdog gets lit up.

I used to play against a guy who would play "flashy goaltending" Some games he would just stay on his head, other games he would let EVERYTHING past him. It's rarely consistant.

he actually made the right move. No goalie is going to expect his own player shooting the puck into his own net.

Just ask Steve Smith
