I love that quote. I dont want miller, but he is spot on with the fans saying he is untouchable. I heard it way too much on the radio today that Kane cannot be traded no matter what because he is a "fan favorite".

I'd trade him in a heartbeat for the right deal. Just not for a goalie locked up longterm with a higher cap hit than Kane

There is no equal return for No. 19, ergo, he's untouchable.

wrong. if the great one can be traded so can toews. any player can be traded at anytime if the price is right.

to think for a second that if a team were to offer a package of players, or a player that is better than toews that the hawks wouldnt take the deal....cmon now. toews isnt even the best hockey player in the NHL. take whoever you believe is the best hockey player in the league and ask yourself....would I deal toews straight up for (insert name) some of you really need to stop with this "oh hes a hawk and the captain and he is a proven winner with heart" enough. you would take the best player in the nhl all day long over toews.

il make it easy. toews for the sedins? if you say no you are fucking insane.

By your logic? Yeah, sure. In some NHL 12 fantasy, I'm sure you could find an equal trade. May have to throw in Kesler with the Sedins though .....

But IN THIS ERA, no, you won't get equal return for Toews. Not in the cap era, it's simply not possible. You'd end up destroying your cap situation.

It took an absolute perfect storm for Gretzky took traded, in a much different NHL than it is today. 25 years ago, maybe. Now? No, it's not happening.

Do you understand why Gretzky was traded?

I'll give you a hint...it wasn't "Oh shit, people offered us better players"

You base your idea of "anyone is trade-able" on the fact that Gretzky was traded and then you offer up a Toews trade scenario that has zero in common with the Gretzky trade.

Toews for the Sedins.

Two soft super talents earning $12.2 mil a year that are completely dependent on each other to reach their potential.

Or Toews for $6.3 mil.

Come on, lets just stop that now before you call us dolts for not wanting to trade Crawford for Luongo.

Well like I said he not worth a goalie. I feel today any goalie can get you buy with the right team. Sure there are guys like king Henrik, and price who are very good.

There's nothing to really get in return from buffalo anyways.

Highly doubt the Eklund rumor about Ribeiro is credible (shocker)

I think he has a 5 mil cap hit for like 2 more years

He would be a nice second line center. Definitely a scorer but is brutal at the dot.

He has 1 more year left at 5 Mil. If Frolik were part of the deal (salary reasons) I'd have to think about it. Gaining a 5 Mil player without losing any salary wouldn't be a good move though.

Grabo from Toronto is apparently available, I'd look into him more if I was the Hawks.

A Hossa-Grabo line would be NASTY

The team has glaring holes & if we have to give up a prospect or two for proven NHLer's then so be it.

Not gonna lose sleep if they traded Saad.
