Well, I'm a Sox fan through and through. I hate the scrubs with every fiber of my being. I hate their fans even more than the team. There's really no need to hate a team when they have an arrogant ****** bag fan base that could use the hate.

Scrubs fan for the life of me I will never understand. Their team never have a shot at winning it all, yet they act like they are entitled to a WS win. They are obnoxious, don't know shit about baseball, and only go to the stadium to drink and watch the girls (who know even less about baseball) act a fool.

Scrubs fans are lower than Kobe, lebron, and knicks fans to me.

A century of losing and these gluttons for punishment still come back for more.

At least Sox fans actually get mad about the team and boo and voice our frustrations at management when we feel they are doing their jobs. Scrubs fans? They are too drunk to care. They've had great players that wasted their talent for years with this loser of an organization. Guys like Mark Grace (who led the 90's in hits), Greg Maddux (who had his first of four straight Cy Young's with the Scrubs), the list goes on. Those guys won titles elsewhere while the scrubs and their idiot fans partied and drank season after season away.

And they have the gall, the sheer nerve, the utter audacity to form their lips to say anything derogatory about the White Sox. At least the Sox try to put a good team out there. If the players don't perform, they send them packing.

Sox fans are more involved with their team than scrubs fans are. We hold the front office's feet to the fire. We go to Sox Fest and let them have it when the team doesn't perform.

I just hate the scrubs and nothing will ever change with that. I also have no respect for these so called "Chicago" fans that say they are fans of both teams. They are nothing more than Scrubs fans to me. There is no such thing as a fan of both teams, You are a fan of one or the other, can't be both. If I see you wearing Sox stuff one year, then wearing Scrubs stuff because they are having a "good" season, then me and you have nothing further to discuss. I respect Scrubs fans more than these pricks and I don't respect Scrubs at all.

Can't believe you wasted the time to type all of this...lol

This is what I'm talking about. This is some snobby bullshit right here. And Scrubs fans have NOTHING to be snobby about.

"That is some snobby bullshit"....hmm ok, I don't understand how it makes me "snobby" because I don't care about a team that I'm not a fan of. Can you explain this for me so I can actually comprehend it?

Wait, did you mean I'm being snooty or snotty instead of being snobby?....

I dont believe that is snobby of him at all. I look at the cubs as just another team. They arent our rivals, they arent in our league or division, so I am the same way. I care about the cubs winning or losing as much as I care about the baltimore orioles winning...which is zero

How dare you bring the Baltimore Orioles into this, asshole.

Glide clearly stated he hates the Cubs, and his only team is the WhiteSox, and everybody chimes in. Rick clearly stated he hates the WhiteSox and the Cubs are his only team, and gets a pass (from Cubs fans, duh).

I agree with most of what Glide said, ........ but This↓

It's snobby in the implication that the Sox are somewhat less than the Scrubs. There's so much behing that "Treat them like a team that doesn't play in Chicago" thing.

Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but I've heard similar stuff from Scrubs fans and it goes beyond the teams, and starts digging into which side of the city they are from. Like somehow the North side is greater than the South Side.

Both sides have their issues.

Thanks for the back up man.

I didn't say anything wrong. I stated my opinion based on my experiences with the Scrubs and their fans.

I'm not civil when it comes to the Scrubs. I didn't insult anyone here, just stated my position.

He ripped the entire Cubs' fanbase. I didn't. This is the extent of what I said:

Also, I can't stand a lot of White Sox fans either but guys like Soxsider, DewSox and whitesox901, just to name a few, are top notch classy guys. There's a lot of idiot Cubs fans too but if we had more fans like those three guys on both sides of town it'd be cool.

It's just kind of stupid to call all Cubs fans "drunks", "douchebags" and they "don't know shit about baseball" and what not. I'm not a drunk, I'm only a douchebag sometimes, and I'd be more then willing to test my chops of baseball knowledge against Glide's if he would want to however it's not really worth it...seriously, not over a rant of that caliber.

Not to mention, the same "scrubs" fans that he hates so much, he's high fiving with them during the Bulls and Bears seasons (assuming that he's a Bears fan). Even though there's some White Sox fans that I can't stand, it doesn't really bother me to have them as fellow Bears and Bulls fans.

I don't know man, that rant is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. If the tables were turned and it was a Cubs fan saying this about White Sox fans, I'd still say the same thing.

Not sure why that was being implicated. I'm not a fan of their team so I don't watch them. I understand you got mad when I said "I treat them as if they're a team that's not in Chicago" but its not being "snobby" it's another way of saying I don't care about them.

I dont have any problems with anything you posted or what Glide posted. I get it. He doesnt give a **** about the Cubs, he has hatred for them and their fans, understandable, know a lot people like that.

Aint no other sports going on in town rightnow, these emotions arent so ridiculous to me. There's a small part of me that wants to see the Cubs gets crushed and lose everyday, to make up for all the times I supported them.

Thats him, hes biased as ****, its his right, imo.

Glide is almost 100% correct.

Sure, there are knowledgeable Cubs fans, but the %'s say most of the post messages on a sports message board.

It is very easy to generalize Cubs fans because most of the sterotypes are true. If you are a Cubs fan and was offended by Glide's post, then congrats, you are one of the few!

I am so happy to be a Sox fan. So, so happy!

Wrong

I spent several years on both cubs/whitesox.com, and I can assure you each fan base has almost an equal % of idiots. The stereotypes of Cub fans are about as accurate as WS fans being low-middle income, blue-collar, cheap beer drinking, white trailer trash with fat ugly wives.

I take it you haven't been near Wrigley at all to say that. The stereotypes of scrubs fans are most definitely true. Along with most people are scrubs fans because that's the cool thing to do.

Also, scrubs fans on a message board are not the same as real life, in your face, scrubs fans. Those are the one's I'm talking about.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Minnesota United FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Oh, that was just a suggestion, man. We don't actually have to follow that if we don't want to. We're allowed to pick and choose what rules we wish to follow around here.

Apparently I can make a thread to rip someone as long its contained in 1 thread.
