This is something the Sox will never have to do. And Scrubs fans out number us everywhere.

Shows you how many losers there are in the world.

It's not the quantity of fans, it's the quality. My fellow Sox fans are my boys.

Of what exactly?

A team that gets celebrated for a century of ineptness? There's nothing to be jealous of. I got to celebrate a World Series in my lifetime, something no scrubs fan that I have ever met has ever gotten to do and I love it.

Speak for yourself, son. I was just celebrating the 1907 & 1908 Championships the other day. Mordecai Brown is my boy!

Glide, Chubs fans have to use humor and dry wit to mask the fact their team will always suck, they pat each other on the back cuz they outnumber us here, its ok, anything is better than being a Chubs fan :p

Not true, we have an equal amount of Cub/Sox fans out here in Elgin.

...and I think I might be the only Cubs fan here in central Illinois. Seems like everyone around here is a ******y-ass Cardinals fan.

I still find it funny that cub fans think the sox are on their level as far as performance. 2 games under .500 in june being 4.5 is really nothing. sure there are issues, but i wont compare a -14 NL club to a -2 AL club, and from where we were at on may 3rd..this is fine. lots of baseball left.

Who thinks that?

Yeah, I didn't understand Cub fans actually thinking their team was better than ours. Sox aren't that great but they're def better than the Cubs.

From my standpoint as a Cubs fan, the crosstown classic means absolutely nothing. With this Cubs team, I could care less.

At least they beat the Royals this past evening! Oh boy! :crazydance:

Our unusual split of fans is b/c so many older residents moved out here from both sides of the city back in the 80's and 90's.

Downstate has always been Cardinal country b/c the fan base generally has remained within a 300 mile radius of St. Louis...lol

While I appreciate your insight, it's actually because they're ******s, like I first mentioned. :)

Allow me to re-phrase then, most Cardinal fans still think they need a passport to cross the bridges into Illinois.

But the reason they are ####'s is b/c Card fans have always had an inferiority complex with Chicago in general. And since there isn't anything worth a shit in St. Louis that compares w/Chicago, they take it out through baseball.
