Before tonight, the Astros were just a hair behind the White Sox in scoring 4.07 runs per game. Slightly below MLB average, but still pretty impressive for a supposedly shitty team.

14th in total runs scored
9th in homeruns
10th in k's
6th in BA Against
17th in ERA with majority of teams being in the NL above them due to no DH

And yet another flyball to end the inning. The difference in the game has been the Astros hitting the ball out of the park twice with 2 outs.

Even Roy Halladay will lose to the Cubs big time every now and then.

All right Randy Wells returned a little sanity to the game for the Cubs. For an inning at least...

Len saying Castro should be a 7th batter in a good lineup. Castro is beyond terrible with RISP.

I think the entire Cubs lineup is terrible with RISP.

10th in the league in terms of OPS and BA with RISP compared to 12th and 11th in those cateogries in all situations.

And that's 3 catches in counting that's on the DL. Welington Castillo likely going to DL and Travis Wood will be activated.

Clevenger: 1-2 with a 1B and run
Volstad: 4 earn runs, 7 hits and 4 walks.

That was the best choice of the available options. It is better than sending down Cardenas that is for sure.

As far as tonight goes I am guessing we see Mather, Baker and Johnson in the lineup tonight.

I think Johnson will be gone soon...

I think we could see a few deadline trades... Dempster, Johnson and Baker.

And hopefully, prolly dreaming, Soto and Soriano.

I expect the Cubs to nail down an long-term extension with Matt Garza. Also, I see the Cubs signing Starlin Castro to an extension before the 2013 season ... no trade!
