Jeff Baker gets a single. I feel like I am talking to myself except for Dewey accidentally posting in here. Where is everybody?

I hope that was a hit and run because that was a terrible pitch Barney swung at.

Travis Wood was about ten feet either up or over for a homerun. He just pounded a ball off the wall. Wood is a pretty good bat apparently.

There are four lights...

Castro can't check his swing to end the inning with runners at the corners.

Wood is looking pretty good. Another start and he will have pitched as many innings as Marshall has this year.

Sori crushed that one to tie the ballgame. Super Joe has another hit, but the Cubs fail to do anything afterwards. Cubs are outhitting the Stros 5-2 but are tied.

Starlin Castro with a webgem to end the inning. It was a great play that I am sure will be on the replay shows later. It was awfully close at first base and the runner got tossed due to an equipment violation while arguing the call. But that play showed what Castro is capable of doing as a SS.

Travis Wood finally made an out as a major leaguer this season, but he hit it hard right at the LF.

He has a nice bat. Makes me kind of wonder if he ever was a position player. Anybody know?

He doesn't have any time at a position as a professional which began at age 18. So I am guessing no. Actually looking at his numbers batting in the minors and majors prior to this year and they are ugly to be honest. He has a .478 OPS as a big leaguer prior to tonight and a .557 minor league OPS. Surprised me with the way he has handled the bat in Iowa and Chicago this year.

That is definitely surprising. I guess it's just a hot streak unfortunately, although it is good to see a pitcher actually making solid contact and getting on base.
