Bruce hits into a douple play to end the inning, but it drove in Votto to make it a 2-1 game.

Soto with a solid knock up the middle. Bunt time.

Time for Campana to steal second and Soto to steal home.

The Cubs offense might be better than the #s show. Every game I watch it looks like we have 5-6 balls that we hit hard...line-drive at'em balls. Like Castro's right there.

Cubs definitely have a BABIP problem.

Stewart has been hitting the ball ridiculously hard right at defenders all season.

I haven't looked at as a team, but I would guess that it wouldn't be that bad since LaHair and Campana have really high BABIP. Whereas Soto and Stewart have really low BABIP.

Almost a great play by Stewart there.

It's got to be almost completely a BABIP problem because of all the homers not hit, and since they're not walking all that much...

But I am guessing they strike out a fair bit and I don't know what the LD% of the team is either.

That has to be the sweetest double play I've seen the Cubs make in a long time, and just shows why you keep Castro at SS for now. Very few SS have the arm to make that play.

Gotta give DeWitt props for starting that one.

Only 49 pitches for Samardzija through 5 IP. Very efficient.

That was a huge stop by DeWitt and a great flip to Castro to get it started.

Brenly and Kasper are really laying into the home plate ump's strikezone. Soriano pulled a bouncer through the left side of the infield.
