Yes, every season is sacred. But in no way did Theo ever say he would risk the future for pleasing the most critical of fans. Pretty much everyone in baseball is applauding Theo and company now, those that aren't can't quite battle their cognitive dissonance yet. Confirming your own beliefs has a similar dopamine effect on the brain as heroine does, its addictive.

Stop feeding the overly critical trolls, you're just giving heroine to addicts :)

Why are we going through this again? People asked Rizzo about Bryant. He said the same thing. It's buisness. They understand it. It's the fans that done have a clue because they have nothing to do with buisness

Who said they don't understand it? We all know it's business. There are just too many alleged baseball fans that accept bad business.

Three weeks of a season traded for a whole year of control after he's played for years and presumably improved? It's crazy not to do that, and every organization does it. Not every single player, but every organization.

What organization does that to their star prospect that is re-writing history books at every level he plays at?

It's a shame that the majority of Cub Fans can't be critical toward their team, especially management.

Why would any Cub fan with half a brain be critical of a perfectly acceptable business decision?

Lol, every team does it but only Cubs fans arent critical of the move. Haha get the **** out of here. Once he comes up, then Brett is going to try to twist something else to try to ***** about the Cubs because its his MO.

Because it does nothing for the team nor the validity of what spews from their mouths to make them trustworthy.

1) Examples of every team. Go ahead.
2) I am a baseball fan. I've complimented and criticized as needed. Try it. You know I am right about this and have proven it time after time, including my two week ban on being anything but a Cub SuperFan earlier this year. Why you can't admit your shortcomings is beyond reason when it comes to this.

What shortcomings? That I dont get my panties in a twist about how the Cubs doing business moves? Show me where you proved you were right? Just because you tell yourself you are right doesnt make it reality. It makes you a Narcissist. Every team considers the control game. It is not the only reason to leave a prospect down but it does weigh heavily. The Cubs decided for Bryant to get some rest and keep that extra year of control. It is looking out for the player and the business end. Your shortcomings in all of this is you cant fully understand the business part of it.

It doesn't do anything for the team? Refreshing a player who has been on a grind for over a year now getting some refreshment to take on what is going to be happening next season does nothing for the team? Where do you come up with this stuff? Use your head.

Your inability to be critical. The only panty bunching here is the koolaid drinkers. You are one of them.

Show me where you proved you were right? Just because you tell yourself you are right doesnt make it reality. It makes you a Narcissist.

1) You need a dictionary
2) I gave you an example of me being complimentary. I've done it all year long including campaigning for Rizzo to the AS game. Did you forget that part already?

Still awaiting your examples of every team. Not that I expect that you can back it up.

No one can fully understand the business part of it.

Given all his rest the past year use yours.
