Personally i have enjoyed your posts whitesoxhater, i am not a huge fan of signing pujols because there are so many more spots that also need attention. If the team was solid everywhere else and we needed one guy to put us over the hump i say sign him. But since that is not the case and we need a couple different players, why throw an assload of money at one guy when you could use it to get 2-3 very good players and make your team a lot better as a whole.

Know I'm late to the part on this one, but am I the only one that DOESN'T want the Cubs to get Pujols? Fielder would be cheaper and give us more budget flexibility. Plus, Pena could bounce back and have another .280 type year. Who's to say he doesn't sign for a few years after this?

Im in the same boat as you, i think we go for fielder, and a good second basemen. Kelly Johnson is there, and a few far fetched ones Jose Reyes, Jimmy Rollins. Just an idea.
