Mark Grace and Ryne Sandberg too.

Never mind that every single team in baseball now has multiple quality players, All-Stars, Super-Stars and future HOF's that have come through their system, and yet some think that the Cubs are going to defy all of those odds and not land a single one with these prospects, simply because they are the Cubs.

I hope they are hungry because they are going to get a steady diet of crow. :flipa:

Not every team has multiple quality players that have come through their system much less All Stars, Super Stars and future HOF's.

No one has ever said the Cubs are going to defy all of those odds and not land a single one.

People have said the Cubs will defy the odds and have 3 All Stars from the current crop of prospects.

ok im curious now.. some would say that maybe 1-3 of a team own drafted players may amount to something per organization, would that number increase if your trading for prospects from other teams ? IF your getting other teams top 10-20 player(s)

Most numbers people throw around are wrong. They dont take into account the much higher fail rate of pitchers. Prospects are prospects no matter where you get them.

I agree about the pitchers...

my thing with the position players though, if your bringing in additional top 20 prospects via trades from other teams wouldn't that increase the amount of "HITS " you can possibly have from your organization ? when you include your own top players with other teams top players that you brought in..

Yes, a ticket is a ticket. The odds just differ.

Prince Fielder as well.

We can keep playing the game of you name a superstar and then I name a busted prospect and I will always have more names.

Might as well admit defeat now. The facts are on the side of far more busting than succeeding.

The numbers being thrown around are 100% correct.

You just don't accept reality.

Generally if you are bringing in another teams top prospects, you are giving up legitimate major league players to get them.

So if you do not hit on every single trade you make, you are giving up more talent and more major league production than you are bringing in.

Lol, you dont even know the numbers. Also, of course more busted then made it. They are playing in the fucking major leagues not 8 year old first year of kid pitch. The numbers that keep getting stated include pitchers busting. Who is a top prospect of the Cubs thats a pitcher? CJ Edwards and Pierce Johnson and there not even that highly rated. They could easily bust but they also arent considered in the same league as Almora, Bryant, and Baez. Edwards could compare to Soler. Then, you are looking at Alcantara, Volgelbach, plus the 4th pick this year, and most likely a top 5 next year. Thats not including some out of nowhere player that almost always comes around.

Yet again, truly read these numbers and stop following KB's old, misinformed ass.

Also, people completely miss the new CBA and how much it has truly changed the game. But hey, keep on doing what you do. I believe the old Pat is in there somewhere.
