LOL owned by a guy who think BBA is the end all be all of scouting? Fisch, I thought you hate prospects. Why are you reading about them?
If you used all scouts, you would have known BBA had him so highly rated, right?
Crumpet?
I hate people that live and die by everything a prospect does at the minor league level, I don't hate prospects.
No, you get pissed off whenever someone mentions a prospect.
What dont i know? That its rather easy watching you make a complete fool of yourself when your "facts" are disputed? Or that you seem to have a horrible way of spin doctoring your opinion into something other then a pile of shit stuffed into a bowling pin framed cake pan? You are an obtuse minion. Instead of just saying "hey, i forgot about BBA since i read every single scouts opinion on prospects and have them ranked differently", you went all defensive to the point that reading you was like watching the Bears defense last year. To the point that you, immaturely tried to discredit the oldest prospecting publication in the world to further try and get your point across. Now, if i was "trolling", i sure as hell wouldnt have explained your flaccid attempts at debating and showed you specifically, where you went wrong. And the others dont hence his average ranking. You notice that Almora, Soler, Baez, and Bryant rankings are all similar in everyone and Edwards is not. You dont even know what you are arguing anymore cause you never had an argument. You are trolling because, most likely, no one talks to you in real life.

Now, this little bit of reality might be a tough pill to swallow, but i would reccommend you take it in as a suppository to help with the butt hurt.
Crumpet?
Dam right i did. With the time wasted replying to you i could have been fucking my sister/brother or playing a hardcore game of dungeons and dragons.LOL Ill pass you the anal lube because you got fucked hard.

Why do you have anal lube, btw?
Crumpet?
Is it a king sized tube or something and you hit them over the head with it?To keep my bitches in line
Anyways opinions are like ass holes. Every on has one. There is no "Holy Grail" of ass hole opinions.
I would say more enthusiastic. The guy's life revolved around prospecting but he also had his favorites and had no problems pumping their tires. If i remember correctly, Pujols was behind the legendary Bud Smith in 2001 and both were behind Corey Patterson, a Callis favorite, who was listed as the second best prospect in all of baseball behind only the pre-crack head Josh Hamilton, who was the next Mantle out of high school. Respected? I dont know, the fact he actually watched tape on everybody had more to do with ppl reading him then putting stock into what his opinion was. He called alot of sure things, stuck out alot on great players, and has more failure with his predictions then wins. Again, prospecting isnt a science, we all know this, but Callis wasnt something more then another fan with an opinion. If he truly was respected, he would have had a front office job in this day and age. He never did. He was and is only a reporter. Not getting into that stuff. Any list generated in the end is an ass pull.
All we can go by is the history of sucessful ass pulls. Callas has the history of being the face of BA and being the for most respected opinion regarding prospects.
Well, that has more to do with the pitchers above him being better and Appel had a dead arm after being the work horse for a couple years in college. He was the shits last year once he signed. He was i think ranked 39th, thats still pretty damn good.Even so I questioned more than one ranking. I can not see dropping the #1 pick into the 30's. Think he was still top 20 in other rankings.
I like Edwards but I believe their opinion is sqewed towards potential vs ability. Almora is a better prospect than him. Edwards has more risk involved. Higher top end but may end up in the pen. I wouldn't rank him that high unless he breaks 150 IP with those numbers to justify being ahead of Almora.
I can see him ahead of Soler due to Soler's injury limiting him last year. Almora put up solid production in A then played strong in the fall league as the youngest player. Again it just looks like they are guessing at projections.
I wouldn't have dropped the #1 pick that far until he has a full year in pro ball to justify it.
In the end it is all guess work but they had some rankings that fell out of the norm.
On Patterson. Who knows why he never made his potential. He was the best prospect in the Hendry era. I'm not sure if it was his injury in 2003 or Baker or his attitude about projecting himself as a #3 hitter.
To be honest he reminds me of Jackson tool wise.
I almost think it falls on the Cubs development. Too many busts to be normal. Even Choi never met his projections.
If it was just all prospects are going to bust then there would be no players in the league.
I hate people that live and die by everything a prospect does at the minor league level, I don't hate prospects.
He isnt the prospect they are because they dont even know if he can stay a starter. A bullpen guy will never have more value then an everyday player.
