Demp gives up a run but K's Berkman to get out of the jam. 78 pitches through 5 for him....so hopefully he can get in 2 more.

1-1.

Cubs have a man on first and second and no one out. Big opportunity here with Milton coming up.

Soriano goes deep again. Game tied at 2. Nice.

As Len put it,

Strikeout

Strikeout

Strikeout

BAM!

Fonzie ties it up! That was a mammoth shot.

2-2

bottom of the 9th. 2 on for Houston with no outs.

Gonna need some HUGE help from our bullpen to get this one to extra innings.

I think Cubs will lose this one. Our bullpen is still crap outside of Guzman and Marmol.

We kind of got screwed in the top of the inning. Reed Johnson was safe at first.

That was huge by Cotts to get the out at third. Now we have a good setup for the double play still.

Cubs get a liner. Extra innings. Hopefully we can get some power hitting going here and get out of it in the 10th. I don't trust our bullpen.

Kaz lines out to Fotenot to end the 9th.

To the 10th we go.

I dont trust this bullpen much either. The first thing I did when I started a franchise with MLB09 was trade for JC Romero and a few other decent relievers. Almost traded for Kerry Wood again.

Are you online for PS3? I was thinking about trying to get a league going for MLB 09 the Show.

Re:Series Thread: Cubs @ Astros (April 6th-8th, 2009)

We are only 2 games into the season, so until we get a few weeks under our belts, it will be tough to judge the cubs as the body of work is just so small. Im expecting them to start scoring some runs here soon though, as this 2 and 3 runs per game sucks to watch.
