From what I am hearing they are going to give him 8 minutes a night. Not sure what you are hearing though. Tell me?
I don't care what you are hearing. This is a kid who couldn't even stand the rigors of Division 1 play last year, evidenced by him breaking his jaw and missing 25% of the season. There is no way he's physically ready for the NHL right now.
Keith played in the AHL for 2 years and was 22 when he came into the league.
Seabrook played two extra years of juniors and his first year in the NHL he was the best defensemen the Hawks had. Leddy isn't any better then our top 4 so why give him 10 minutes a game when he'll get 25+ in Rockford?

Agreed. Still a win win for any prospect with talent IMO. Still would rather have Lalonde back there. Either way we'll be fine on D.

They liked what they saw from him? I don't know Trev stick your resume in with the Hawks and they might listen to what you have to say on his development.
I'm just saying what I heard. Keith and Seabrook were green their first year. Behind one of the most questionable TOP pairs in the league in Aucoin and Cullimore. You can add Barker to the rushed too soon list as well.

Well guess you should stick your resume in there too then. He broke his Jaw so that was he couldn't handle it.
Holy ****. Let me know when and what NHL team hires you.
Ron, you didn't see him at Prospects Camp, did you?
He's got great skating ability and awesome vision out there. But whenever he was in the corner in a one on one battle, he was pushed around every time. I just don't think he's physically strong enough right now to handle the NHL level and I think he would face a significant adjustment period at Rockford as well.

I'm sorry but are you contradicting yourself, I don't understand where your post is going.
All I'm going to say is you always hear about players being ruined because they were rushed, but never hear about players who were ruined because they took there time and let them develop.

I have no opinion either way Evan. Kane wasn't physically strong enough either. <purple>
I guess they like Leddy. Could all change in training camp but I clearly just explained why he was given a contract. Like it or fucking not.
Last time I say shit on this site. I'll let the "experts" figure it out.
I'm extremely high on Leddy as well, said he was better than Lalonde and Olsen, in fact I went as far as saying he has the most potential in our system right now.
I'm sure he'll be given a shot, same with Lalonde. Otherwise he probably wouldn't of been given a contract.

I'm not contradicting myself. I said all three of those players could have been considered "rushed".
My post was that I'll bet money the Organization feels right now, Leddy can start in the 5-6 spot.

Apparently they liked him most of all. Training Camp should be fun. Remember when you said the competition would not be there. It will be.

Contradiction? Really....
I didn't understand your post thats all.
That's fine, let him start in the 5-6 and give him 8 minutes a night. We don't need Leddy though as our #5 or 6. Bring in Lalonde or one of our guys in Rockford or sign a cheap D man and let the kid develop.

I meant for the forward spots, D will be a clusterfuck trying to get those last two spots.
Personally I'd like to see Lalonde and Leddy groomed together. If both are ready I'd take them as our bottom pairing, might sound crazy to some fans but I BET they would do just fine.
That said, they would need to be really working hard since prospects camp if they want it.
