Since there isn't any way to really compare tackles outside of watching their play...

Which makes it odd that you created your strawman to expect me to do it.
I'm sure with some of the videos I've found from Bears fans it could be done, other teams should have fans doing the same thing. Didn't that same report also have some pretty ridiculous ranks for Bears oline that we know isn't true?

The point was Poles hasn't backed up his trench talk yet. He hit on one low round oline that may actually be good for Field's 3rd year. That's one possible improvement out of an oline that allowed 55 sacks.
Anything Poles does for oline from now on is too little too late (for Fields). Even if he gets lucky again it's too little too late. Odds of drafting oline that instantly plays like a vet are slim. Future rounds of FA are most likely lower tier.

And I think the original point (made by someone else) was if he got FA talent for the trenches it would've opened up being able to BPA the draft.

YEAH HAVING THE FIRST PICK IN THE DRAFT AND A EASILY TRADABLE ASSET IN FIELDS BUT SHIPPING THE TOP PICK FOR A WR1 SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE CHECKED OUT ON FIELDS FOR SURE. NEVER HEARD THE "NEXT YEARS QB CLASS IS GENERATIONAL" LINE NOT WORK OUT.

WONDER WHY ANTHONY RICHARDSON IS GETTING SO MUCH ATTENTION. HMM

IMAGINE BEING THIS MUCH OF A DOOFUS! SAD!

pretty much

if the bears intended to drop fields, it would have been this offseason. they're not gonna purposefully sabotage his 3rd season, tank his value and then move on after this season. it can happen if fields tanks but i dont see them thinking that way after trading the #1 pick

I'll be happy but I'm not walking it back because it is still extremely stupid to get a rookie QB and not give him protection for 4 years. Absolutely positively stupid. It hasn't worked for 38 years, it's not going to start working now.

He, among many others, didn't walk back any of their HITS nonsense last year. They didn't walk back how much of an improved team this would be without Nagy. They didn't walk back how the OL and WRs were going to be better than advertised.

You don't need to walk anything back to people who wouldn't do the same. I'm actually going to dread this place when the Bears are legitimately good, because the same people who told me that Vildor, Mitch, Nagy, Pace, Borom, Gipson etc etc etc were good players, coaches and GMs are going throw a parade for themselves for finally being right.

Fields is a big game hunter. For that to happen he needs time. Oline all the way.

Poles added a LT and C in the only full offseason he had thus far, and has added a G this offseason.

You use “4 years”, but Poles is in his 2nd offseason and has not yet had his 2nd draft.

So while we know you’re itchin’ to be bitchin’, give it some time.

No matter where we draft, you will be able to look in hindsight and find somebody drafted later than each of our picks that you could possibly argue was better than the guy we picked so you’ll have plenty to bitch about over time.

Be patient. Because let’s face it we know that’s all you wanna do. You don’t have a legitimate discussion you just want a bitch.

Keep crying about fans impatience while you close in on 4 decades of preaching patience.

Well, hiring someone for a job and blaming them for their predecessors' performance is an interesting way to go.

Great way to manage.

Must be nice to get a job with zero expectations of you because the guy before you sucked. Not like Poles inherited a QB worth protecting.

Still salty at Ryan Pace for spending a 3rd round pick on a 25 year old WR who cant run routes. At least he doubles as a punt returner who cant catch punts. lul

If I didn’t know any better….i’d say I’m starting to think you don’t like ryan poles or eberflus and his HITS.

i definitely dont like hits or eberflus. Im TBD on Poles but leaning towards not liking him, especially when everyone becomes olympic gold medalists at mental gymnastics when rationalizing every questionable thing this guy does. Its like you cant be critical of him because he was put in a shitty situation...the one he signed up for btw.

The issue is you're very quick to be critical. You won't even let the 2nd season play out

Eberflus and Poles should be fired.

Eberflus for his shits philosophy and Poles for trading for chase Claypool and signing linebackers

??‍♂️
Neither of those are links, those are just you typing words.

I have yet to give any type of prediction for '23 season. I'm still waiting to see what happens in the draft and beyond. I am just outgoingly loud at @ing your types with the assumption that Poles will fix everything because *checks notes* he found starters for the worst roster in the NFL that finished dead last.

You all caught up or will finger paintings need to get involved?

I know people bring up Jamar and burrow, but the situations are completely different. Fields loves the mid to deep throws. This requires time, which a good oline would give him. Burrow is a guy that gets the ball out quickly, which doesn't require as good of an online. Jsn to me is a pure luxury pick that we shouldn't be making.

Then we'll just wait and see?

I'm curious for your prediction before the season starts though
