Dave Bolland's Injury

...and why can't we delete one of our own posts?

Because there were those that whined like little girls about posts being deleted (no offense to any little girls, IE Mass). Of which included those posts which the original poster decided to delete. They didn't know that when they were bitching either.

And then people could back track which would make these boards much less interesting.

Eh, sometimes people type things they really don't want to and don't think about it until after the fact. Myself included.

No big deal.

As for Bolland he flew with the team to DC today so I'm assuming he'll be fine.

Hope this is for hockey related reasons on Sunday and not visiting the Whitehouse related reasons. But it is a good sign either way. Assuming if it were more serious he would be back home resting.

That hit was sly and disrespectful. Same as the one one on Crosby and Pacioretty. What kills me is that the NHL cannot admit that THEY caused this crap. The instigator era ushered out RESPECT from our game.

While I will always agree with the instigator rule helping create more of a mess I can't sit back and think it's the only reason these sort of hits are causing such issues with injuries etc etc. There have always been these sort of hits in hockey even before the instigator rule. Scott Stevens, Craig Berube, McSorely, Tiger Williams, Mark Messier the mighty Gordie Howe himself...just a few names all different level players who I have seen throw elbows to the head and have panned out dirty hits before the instigator rule. I can continue the list but I don't want to clog up the thread.

There has to be more than just the instigator rule. There just has to be. I do think the speed of the game has a part to play in all this too. But yes agree also the instigator rule also plays a part. I tend to think there are more components than just one here.

Hawks vs Lightning in the UC April 3. The Hockey Goons say unleash John Scott on Kubina until his face bleeds.

If a comparison is made on Hjalmersons hit early in the year that gave him (was it 5 game suspension with no previous history) to Kubinas intentional elbow to Bollands head. Eddie does'nt say a word after the hit to Bolland. Hjalmersons hit, Eddie did (if I remember right) think that #4 made a bad hit.

Eddie is about as consistant as NHL officiating

I don't think either saw the hit. They were too busy talking about some guy in Seattle who may or may not have worn a sweater to work that day. Also too busy talking about the oppositions players and their scoring droughts right before they score to break it.

I am not a superstitious person but **** me I am starting to think Foley has the ability to end an oppositions scoring drought just by mentioning it.

Who knows what the **** Eddie is doing during the games. My theory is he is watching re-runs of Desperate House Wives.

At least they did'nt go off on one of their own private 5 min giggle fests when nobody else but them knows what the Hell it is that they are laughing aboot. Maybe they got some hate mail. Come to think of it Eddie has cut back a lot on " for all you young hockey players out there" quite a bit lately.

Oh well, I just paid for the 1st 2 rnds of the playoffs, so I'm STOKED !!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but these emoticans are fun

Pat has mentioned during broadcasts that Eddie is texting. But I do like yoour Desparate Holes theory

I think Pat and Eddie have gotten so comfy in there positions that they believe anything that spews out of they're pieholes is to be considered EXCELLENCE IN BROADCASTING.

I thought the same thing as well. Pat was SOOO much better when he was simulcast on the radio and actually had to talk about the game.

There were some big hits that they didn't even mention.

Bickell just hammered someone right at the edge of the screen. You couldn't see who he hit and those two didn't say a peep.

Enough kids eating ice cream!!!!!

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I just think for the sake of all involved, CSN should just promote Eddie-O to the color commentary of VS/NBC games (I think they're all owned by comcast now anyways), and give Pat either Konroyd or Murray (i forgot who fills in for Eddie). They are much better separate.

Although, I do like Weiderman a lot on the radio.

While I agree, they just extended them both to call games for years, so I doubt it will happen.

According to Kuc's tweet Bolland has a concussion and is doubtful for Sunday.
