If a comparison is made on Hjalmersons hit early in the year that gave him (was it 5 game suspension with no previous history) to Kubinas intentional elbow to Bollands head. Eddie does'nt say a word after the hit to Bolland. Hjalmersons hit, Eddie did (if I remember right) think that #4 made a bad hit.



Eddie is about as consistant as NHL officiating

No, Edzo ignores making commentary that is contrary to other teams or the NHL.

Why you ask? Because of his paychecks from outside the Blackhawks. He does not want

to be a homer and one sided to the Blackhawks and by doing so he takes it so far that

he is homer because he will not say or call anything controversial.



Case in point, remember when Ovie put the hit on Campbell? Yeah, it was Edzo who said,

According to Kuc's tweet Bolland has a concussion and is doubtful for Sunday.

I actually do not mind Edzo and Pat that much if they don't try to be Laurel and Hardy.

Yea he's a brown nosing ass kisser. Good for him. Shame they don't keep him and then Konroyd could pop in. He actually does the job though. Not sure fans could actually handle that one.





And I used to love Pat. He just doesn't have it any longer. He was great with Dale and then He and Troy became very good. I'd take John and Troy over those to guys ANY day and EVERY game!

I agree with IHF, it's really quite obvious how he tries to stay impartial sometimes and it affects what he says and how he calls things. Especailly when it comes to being critical of the NHL as a whole, or a rule/procedure they have in place. I don't mind he Xs and Os when it comes to the kids, he the dragging it out and Don Cherry like ranting is a bit much. The non-hockey related stories and the long drawn out shout-outs to friends, family, and friends of family are really what 'grinds my gears'. It's just I guess how unprofessional it comes off sometimes. The fact that we will take Stevie K over him should be the indicator itself. Steve does a solid job, but he's by no means a wonder in the booth. He stays very focused with is great, and he's gotten loads better since he first started, but even he is don't nothing spectacular in the booth. It's just that he's so much better with Foley than Eddie. He must not bring the bottle to the booth with him because they aren't text messaging hookers by the end of the 2nd.

Troy Murray was the same way. When Dale took the new job and Murray hopped in he was brutal. But he learned very fast and now is excellent at what he does.



Like I said as a avid hockey fans I'd take John and Troy over Pat and Eddie any time. They do their job. Meanwhile the other two don't go a game without kissing the ass of the organization. Funny for Pat because I was once told how much of an ass he was and now that same person "loves" him. Funny how that works. Everyone in that Organization is fearful of one person. So I guess the more you suck his ****, the better you feel.

I like it when Pat keeps referring to players that haven't played in the league for over a decade, like he did recently with the Preds Joel Ward who he kept referring to as Joel Otto, I guess the #29 and first name confused him.

I think most of us around here agree with all of the above, we all wanted him back, all called it a no brainer and most were happy when he came back, and ever since all he's done is shown us why he was showed the door in the first place. I guess the previous regime isn't as dumb as everyone thought they were.

Not much has changed for Dave Bolland, who just hasn’t been able to shake his concussion symptoms. But general manager Stan Bowman said it hasn’t reached a point where he is planning to be without his pesky center for the postseason, assuming the Blackhawks get there.



‘‘We’re always hopeful these things can progress quickly,’’ Bowman said of Bolland. ‘‘It’s really hard to say. There’s been a lot talked about these kind of injuries. You just don’t know. See, when Eddie-o and Pat Foley are without each other and keep the Schtick to a minimum (like on Hockey Day in America), I like them. When they go off to Pluto with their blather they are as irritating as Carrot Top.



But even though a few close friends strongly disagree (they think they're boring), I'm with you 100%: I would sell Jay Blunk for glue to get John and Troy to do the TV play-by-play.
