David Haugh on AM radio....not impressive

When the Score blew it up I was surprised.

But it is clear that Parkins is the best host on the station. I actually preferred him with Speigel because they were both actually analyzing things and not just spouting off opinions.

Mully and Haugh: Unlistenable
McKnight and Bernstien: Tune in for certain segments and guests
Parkins and McNiell: Listen to it all
Holmes: Will never listen to it

Spiegel was really coming into his own too.

My issue with Goff was everything circled back to race. Always. I' not naive. Race issues in this country are a very real and ever present thing, but I'm sorry they don't underlie EVERYTHING that occurs. Goff just got to the point where he was tilting at windmills with it and I think a very underrated reported reason that he got booted was his completely terrible and unprofessional handling of interviews with John Paxson and James Lofton.

It's amazing for someone who has been radio as long as Holmes that he still can't run a decent radio show.

I think that Parkins is seen as the reason everything got shifted.

Holmes had a mini tantrum and it was hilarious and awkward.

Parkins is by a wide margin the best host on the station. I am sure he was involved in the cleanse and Holmes was made that Goff got shit canned.

Parkins and Mac used some audio from his show as a discussion starter on their show without letting Holmes know. In transition they brought up the reactions they got, and Holmes almost cried. I think it was about Trubisky, Holmes was very wrong in his Trubisky take.

The WSCR realignment has been really good. The entire mid-day to drive time lineup is really good now. Actually listenable.

I agree. I can actually turn on the radio on the way home from work and not flip within seconds to another station.

Yep, I heard this as well. That was pretty weird and was all on Holmes.

I think it's hilarious that Goff defends some of his bullshit in the Athletic article by basically saying " I would talk about what people would call in about..and if it was about race..then so be it"..ignoring the fact that Goff, Bernstein, and the producers have full control on who gets on the air. You don't need to give them airtime to talk with them.

Meh I still think it's worse than it was a year ago. Goff had to go by any means necessary but I thought Spiegel and Parkins were great together. Bernstein just needed a new host but instead they decided to shuffle everything and make it worse in the process. Also replacing a great host and classy guy in Hanley with that prick Haugh was a giant mistake.

When Holmes was producing I really liked him so I listened to him when he first started doing his own show...and it was terrible. It has stayed that way for years. Holmes sucks and has always sucked as a host.
