In my perfect world I would have kept Spiegel and Parkin's together(moved them to the afternoon slot), then paired Mac with Bernstein.

McKnight does nothing for me.

Mully and Hanley were shit IMO.

They were painful. But Mully was the issue and then they saddled him with Eeyore of Chicago sports in David Haugh.

I just cannot stand the constant negativity when it is not warranted. I just require my radio guys to be able to hand out a compliment when it is deserved.

The constant rain cloud does not reflect the actual Chicago sports landscape most of the time.

Right now my listening power rankings

1. Hoge and Jahns
2. McNiell and Parkins
3. Waddle and Silvy, I think Waddle is one of the few former players who is listenable.
4. Tribune Podcast, although they are super negative by default
5. Kap and Company, certain guests and segments
6. Bernstien and McKnight, certain guests and segments

I do not find him super interesting, but he is measured and reasonable in his takes and keeps Bernstien from turning into a asshole as often.

This would have been good. I don't dislike Connor, but he's just kind of "there"... doesn't add any substance.

I wonder if they paired Bernstein with Goff on purpose, in hopes that Bernstein would quit and WSCR could stop paying/overpaying him. It doesn't make much sense otherwise. IIRC, Goff had been fired from his Atlanta job and had been unemployed for awhile, then WSCR bizarrely picked him up off the scrap heap and gave him the hosting spot alongside Bernstein.

Pretty sure he got fired from Atlanta for Plug-ola.

I think Boers had a lot to do with him being back in the lineup when he came back.

Goff got fired for calling a restaurant on air and asking if he could stop by and pick up some salsa....

Exactly, his nothing more than a Lackey. Not a deal breaker as far as listening goes but there's certainly room for an upgrade.

LOL what? Seriously?

I tried searching this, and it seems like there is debate on whether or not the guy he talked to knew that he was on the air - which is an FCC fine. But I imagine using your radio show to try and score free salsa is still a no-no.

Was Goff actually fired? I thought him, Spiegel and Hanley were all demoted to fill in roles.

Meh I still think it's worse than it was a year ago. Goff had to go by any means necessary but I thought Spiegel and Parkins were great together. Bernstein just needed a new host but instead they decided to shuffle everything and make it worse in the process. Also replacing a great host and classy guy in Hanley with that prick Haugh was a giant mistake.

I agree. I miss Brian's easy affibility.

I can see why Parkins rubs some people the wrong way but he's probably the best host 670 has right now.

1. Hmm, I am in the minority it seems when I say I like Mully. Haugh does nothing for me.
2. McKnight is vanilla, but he keeps Bernstein from turning into a complete douche which he is prone to do. When not in douche mode, I enjoy Bernstein's intelligence.
3. Love Parkins. He is cocky, but with him it doesn't bother me much. McNiell is good fit for him.
4. I liked Spiegel, maybe they can dump Holmes and put Spiegel in the night spot. Yes that would be good.
5. Goff was the worst. And paired with Bernstein, they were two biggest assholes on the air.
