Was Goff actually fired? I thought him, Spiegel and Hanley were all demoted to fill in roles.

He's talking about getting fired from his Atlanta job

The only thing Haugh has going for him is he replaced the most forgettable morning sports radio host of all time. Hanley brought zero value.

Dan Hampton said that Khalil Mack is the best Bears player in the last 30 years, 'no offense to Urlacher'.

On Mully/Haugh this morning, David Haugh takes issue with Hampton, correctly saying that Urlacher proved himself over a number of seasons while Mack has only played a handful of games. But then...

Haugh says that he thinks Mack is a great player, 3 Bears players of the last 30 years immediately come to mind as being better than Mack...Brian Urlacher, Julius Peppers and DEVIN HESTER!!

GET THIS MAN OFF THE AIRWAVES!

David....

Best Radio Hits in Chicago

1. Louis Riddick
2. Dan Orlovsky
3. Hub Arkush, I do not care what people think about this one.
4. Greg Cosell
5. Dan Weiderer, of the beat guys

I love when they have Olin on there. The story about him putting Drew Brees on the wall was awesome.

I wonder if they paired Bernstein with Goff on purpose, in hopes that Bernstein would quit and WSCR could stop paying/overpaying him. It doesn't make much sense otherwise. IIRC, Goff had been fired from his Atlanta job and had been unemployed for awhile, then WSCR bizarrely picked him up off the scrap heap and gave him the hosting spot alongside Bernstein.

Wasn't he with Spiegel before moving to the afternoon spot ?

ND is horrible.
I can only speak for myself.

5 yrs ago I was a religious listener of BandB.

2 yrs ago, I would listen digitally to select segments and post game Bears stuff.

Now, I haven't heard a minute outside an occasional Grobstein segment on a late night ride home in at least 6 months.

Most of them have no clue what they are talking about with regards to football.

THere are so many podcasts that have better talent and more knowledge people talking football that I just don't get the appeal of sports radio. It tends to cater/pander to a lowest common denominator that makes listening sad.

I tend to just put on the espn 1000 app on my phone and listen all day while at work. Kap & Co. in the morning, Carmen & Jurko after, then my favorite Waddle & Silvy for the afternoon.

There's no doubt Mack is one of the best players currently and if all goes well could go down as one of the best Bears players ever. His impact this season already has been monumental and could very well be the final piece that puts us over the edge to a SB. It's great to have a strong offense and be able to put up points but majority of the time a great defense will always be the key to winning it all and having a great team overall.

For me it usually start with the guest and then I hang around for the fall out conversation.

Most of the time I can’t stand the useless chatter that happens when they are filing time.
