Rex Grossman's first game in my mind was against Atlanta and he was throwing bombs and lasers all over the place. I was very hyped up.
How pathetic is it that that’s probably a top 10-20 bears moment for some (like me). Grossman coming out in the second half and that first throw. What a great feeling…

Can we get the guy some actual stability and protection and then hammer away on him?

I wonder what caleb would have done playing behind 2 first round tackles and with 2 first round wr's.

Dumb as **** idea too. Calebs main target was jerry's son who isnt very good.
Not taking anything away from Daniels but yup. Haters keep talking about trading the 1st pick. Before this draft, I was considering the possibility of trading down the #9 and taking either Murphy or Thomas and getting another pick in late round 1 or somewhere in 2 but never considered trading the 1st pick with the QBs available this time around. Whether we got the right one remains to be seen but win or lose, taking one was the right move.

Not throwing that many interceptions doesn’t mean shit when you’ve got an average yards per pass that’s hovering down around randos who have paper routes and when your completion percentage on passes over15 yards is one of the worst in a couple decades.

It's hard trying to explain away stats with humorous quips, isn't it?

Only Herbert and Jackson rank above CW in Interception percentage.

Cooper Rush is right behind Caleb. Cowboys will be at home watching the playoffs as well.

Team game actually means team.

If anyone thinks wins and losses are a qb stat, Joe Burrow would like a word with you.

I am probably in the minority but even after a redraft I would still take Caleb over Daniel's. Caleb issue is footwork and field awareness which will improve over time. I feel like Daniel's has hit his ceiling and Caleb's ceiling will be way higher as long as we get the right coaching staff in place.
Williams has the ability to be special. I’d take him as well.

Not trying to rub it in but:

1. Caleb Williams
2. Josh Allen
3. Caleb Williams

Question: Which QBs have multiple TD passes against the Detroit Lions this season?

Don't be too quick to try to find a loophole. They were down 14 players when they faced Josh. So don't give me the old injury excuse. There has to be another reason the list is so short.

Man next year is going to be so fun

There are so many manning receipts and old boy has to be top 5 across the board to be like manning in year 2.

Peyton manning was 21st and 20th. That’s slightly below average for a starter. Mid 30s ranks you as one of the worst starters in the league and with backups.

In year two manning was 4th and 2nd. This Peyton manning stuff isn’t going to work out like you think it is

By the way I’ve had a handful of people bring manning to me in person. None of them could name the receivers he had as a rookie besides Harrison. Not without looking
Besides the hall of famer he didn’t have much? 😂

You couldn’t name his other two receives without looking them up. One was a guy who had his second best year out of double digit seasons with about 550~ yards. The other was a rookie.

People will one day mock anyone who ever said Peyton manning in the same sentence with this dude. But then you’ll probably see a lot of people saying they never said that

Well, I haven’t seen any use of Williams and Peyton Manning in the same sentence in the context that they believe Williams will be as good as Peyton Manning. I suppose that could be mocked someday, but I haven’t seen it from a single person.

Where the two get used in the same sentence is simply pointing out the premature evaluation of a rookie quarterback who isn’t all world on day one.

People are not making a comparison of who will have the better career, they are simply advocating for patience and giving a prime example for why it makes sense. Peyton Manning, being one of the greats of all time did not have terrific numbers in his rookie season. And look what he accomplished.

Anybody mocking that example of why we should be patient is an idiot.

Worry about comps is a couple of years. And hope the Bears don’t f*ck up it with the new coach.

I was at that game. Night game, negative 19 degrees with wind chill at kickoff. Orton could do nothing in first half, and Urlacher shut down Vick. Grossman came in. Complete, complete, complete. I think I high fived 100 people at stadium I never met. Happiest person in the country.
I was at Woodfield Mall working at Express and went to some random TV to watch and was shocked and pumped.

And you’re talking about a QB who was all world in year two. If Williams isn’t all world next year then it’s going to look stupid.

Also, tell me about what happens to teams who take a QB number one who isn’t in Mannings league. Super bowls?

I try my best to keep it 100, but you went too far. Don't need to be a Manning to win a super bowl. You know that, right?

Caleb is arguably already better than Foles, Dilfer, and Johnson. And many more if we decide to expand all the way 1967.

You guys are hilarious

He’s generational

No he’s not. Here are reasons why

So you would have given up on Peyton manning (Who was not a once in a generation QB)

He’s not as good as manning and here’s what shows that

Who said he’s as good as manning, but he’s also generational … lol

You be careful going out on that “he’s not Peyton Manning” limb. 😂

The point was not that every young QB is going to be equal to Manning. The point is that it’s ridiculous to draw conclusions too soon.

I can’t explain it more clearly. Sorry you’re not getting it.

Eli is not in Peyton’s league. He has two.

Troy Aikman is not in Peyton’s league. He has three.

Jim Plunkett is not in Peyton’s league. He has two.

Matthew Stafford is not in Peyton’s league. He has one.
