The only team in that mix that the Bears Don't play is Philly. They don't have to be 13-3 to sweep the Bears, this is a conversation about the playoffs, and more specifically the division, and I have Minny winning the division and occupying one of those playoff spots. As to who go's on to win the SB, that is entirely a different conversation. But, the more games Minny loses, the more significant that last game against the Bears will be, making it that much harder for the Bears to steal one from them. Personally like Minny over all of those teams, with the exception of Philly.

I can talk about anything that I want in this conversation. The Vikings tough schedule this year factors into their playoff hopes and can affect their confidence level playing division rivals if they lose more than they win against other teams. If you do not care for my comments, you do not need to comment on them.

Didn't know posters had to be familiar with each other in order to make a comment. Also it is very fitting your a Lions fan considering your reading comprehension is elementary. If you ask someone to interpret what I posted they would tell you the bet is simple. The bears will sweep the lions (meaning 2-0 versus them) and tie with the packers (meaning 1-1 versus them). Anything less or more and you win the bet...

you don't have to be familiar, it's a requirement that you face the gauntlet of snarky insults from kids who never saw Walter Payton play, are in their 20's and are "tired of the Bears losing"

5 reasons they wont be in the playoffs, Minnesota (x2), Greenbay (x2) Detroit (x1). 5 losses right there, maybe 6. Pats and Rams, 2 more loses. That leaves the Cards, Phins, Hawks, Bucs, Jets, Bills, Giants and Niners, all as must win games to get to 9-7, but they lose any tie breaker to in division opponents because of their conference/head to head record.

We aren't bad enough to lose to the Lolions

Bears are going 3-3, maybe 4-2 in division. Minnesota struggled against us even with Fox/Loggains. Detroit will suck with the next Belichek coaching failure, and Green Bay is certainly beatable in Chicago.

Sure, you can talk about trains if you want to as well, but what does that have to do with the OP? The vikings have a tougher schedule, therefore the Bears might win against them because of it? That's a bit of a stretch, isn't it?

helps to get there. BTW, the Bears are the only team in the division to finish in last place 4 years in a row, and a very good chance to make it five.

Recent history says otherwise.

Bears went 0-6 in the conference last year. Minnesota's alleged "struggles" last year (while posting a 13-3 record) are relevant, but for some reason the Bears struggles in the conference are not? Got it! LMAO. But yeah, the Bears who are 3-14 against the pack, and 1-9 vs the Lions, and 3-8 vs the pack, in recent history are all of a sudden going to turn it all around in one year. For Christ's sake, you they couldn't even beat a Brett Hundley led GB Oh, and the Bears are starting to put together a pretty good list of coaching failures themselves.

I guess you forgot Fox & Loggains are gone dipshit. Enjoy your Belichek coaching disaster, that is when he isn't gang-raping college co-eds

You keep focusing purely on the past to justify how the lions will beat us and that doesnt make any sense. That would be like if someone mentioned us beating the lions because Cutler used to do it frequently

All of a sudden lololol We have been building for 4 years. Now the pieces are in place both on the field and in the coaching staff and this team will rise fast. This is not your Lions where we will suck for 30 years. We sucked for a few years and made the team better with the top draft picks received. MN is the only team I think is better then us in this Div. GB by far the worst team in our div. Yes worse then the Lions. AR will hide much but the team around him is 4th best in our Div.

While I am putting your childish banter aside, I think that there is a happy medium in your "debate". I highly doubt we go 4-2 in the division this year, but I do agree that 3-3 is possible.

AR is part of the team, so I am not sure what your point is on that matter. And the Bears still couldn't beat them last year, when they didn't have AR.

Still doesn't hide the Packers poor talent level. Yep LAST year's Fox coached team couldn't beat them.

????

Recent history is relevant to head to head because the team is comprised of many of the same pieces, ancient history is irrelevant because those player are long since retired or dead.

DeAngelo Williams takes exception with prediction for Bears

DeAngelo Williams has an impressive NFL resume. A first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2006, Williams went to a Pro Bowl in 2009 and was a second-team All-Pro in 2008. He also led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2008 and again in 2015. Needless to say, he knows the game of football. But earlier in the week he took a shot at the Chicago Bears on Twitter.

After NFL Network analyst Adam Rank posted a tweet about going on Good Morning Football to talk about the five reasons he believes the Bears will make the playoffs this season, Williams took it as an opportunity to take a shot at the Monsters of the Midway.

"Adam, I will give [you] five words why they won't make the playoffs: they are the Chicago Bears!" - Williams tweeted out.

It is not really known why Williams would have a beef with the Bears. He never played for the team or in their division. He played against the Bears four times in his career and carried the ball 44 times for 197 yards without scoring a touchdown. He also caught four passes for two yards without a touchdown and went 1-3 against them, so maybe he still carries some sour grapes over those losses? Who knows.

Bears rookie wide receiver Anthony Miller called him out for going after Chicago in his tweet, prompting Williams to offer up a nice compromise with the Memphis alum.

"We will revisit this convo at the end of the year," Williams tweeted. "[You] don't make it [you] have to come to my camp! [You] make it I will buy five fans tickets to your first round of the playoffs, deal?"

Not a bad gesture on Williams' part if he actually goes through with what he said to Miller. In a lot of ways, it is easy to understand why Williams does not believe the Bears will make the playoffs this year. Chicago has won just 14 games over the course of the last three seasons and has not made the playoffs since 2010. Their last winning season was in 2012 when the team went 10-6 but they did not make the playoffs. After that season, head coach Lovie Smith was fired. Since then the organization has been on a largely downward trajectory.

So what did Rank give out as his five reasons the Bears will make the playoffs? A lot has to do with the improved offense. On Good Morning Football he noted quarterback Mitch Trubisky, new offensive weapons in guys like Allen Robinson and Trey Burton, running back Jordan Howard, the strong defense and the fact that they've followed a blueprint that is similar to what the Los Angeles Rams did last year as his reasons for why Chicago can surprise many this year.

Williams may not be a believer in what the Bears can do this season, but many around the league appear to be getting aboard that hype train early.

This doesn't bother me at all when i never thought they would make the playoffs next year and have been saying that this team still has one more off season to finish this rebuild (whatever that means). If we had a legit stud OLB to start opposite then i think we'd have a better chance but i'm good with waiting to get that done next off season when free agency and the draft are strong for pass rush. I obviously hope i'm wrong with this and we make the playoffs next season but our division is just too damn strong. We had a great off season but some seem to overlook that Minn, GB and Det also got better this off season.

This is without even talking about how our QB is still very green and we have a entire new offensive coaching staff bringing ion an entire new system and with a ton of new players on offense that all need to learn how to play with each other.
