Dear Mule,
What do you love most about Canada, and what do you wish you could change.
Consequently Yours
Albuquerque Albino.
Dearest Albino,
This is a very difficult question. I love many things about Canada. The landscape is gorgeous, the people are lovely, there are so many great small publishers and yeah, I like our national health care. I like that we don't spend all our money on the military. I like our national and provincial parks, I like poutine, I love Leonard Cohen and Neil Young and our delicious beer. David Cronenberg and all the hilarious comedians we have. I like multiculturalism and our education system and that our national sport is hockey and NOT baseball (gross).
I wish we had a new Prime Minister who wasn't such a conservative douchebag, someone who cared about most of the country and not only the corporations (who in fact are not people), someone who believes in social programming and education and the environment.
I also wish Canada had better television shows. Most of the shit we produce is a fucking embarrassment.
And we should ditch the Monarchy. They don't so shit and they cost money. **** them and their crown jewels.
I wish there was less polar fleece and Gortex and that Lululemon would explode.
I could go on, but I won't.
Northernly Yours,
Mule
