Well said.
That is the whole point of the OP.
He has been reigned in.
Gase won't let him throw long.
Throw the dump off. Throw the WR screen.
Throw the high-percentage pass to boost stats while not helping the team win....
It's a good formula for a coach looking to bail.
The most nauseating and asinine excuse for Cutler is year has been the receiving core injury excuse.
As an example Cam Newton lost his best receiver Kelvin Benjamin for the season, the Panther have jack squat to throw to. Oh I know here comes the Greg Olson excuse as if he's some rock solid as to why Cam Newton is playing at an MVP level.
It's so excruciating to hear every excuse in the book for Jay Cutler while other QBs face similar WR depth problems (Tom Brady) and yet these guys elevate their play and excel in the face adversity. Newton has led his team to the best record in football, Cutler still Cutty still Steve DeBerg, does just enough to get you beat.
Robbie Gould and four field goals today, but let's cut him. Jay Cutler career low in INTs and TDs....way to go.
