It is what it is...

Look. Cutler did about as good as he could. Give him props. I root for him to be the best in the NFL every time he steps on the field in a Bears uniform. We won. That is what matters.

And Gase has done about as well as he could with Cutler.

When you have a QB who can't throw accurately beyond 7 yards, you do what you can. I know WR screens piss some of you off. But it is what it is... Goal is to get the ball out of (the human turnover machine) Cutlers hands and into the hands of someone who can make a play as quickly as possible.

That game plan has led the team to a crap record. But it has also led Gase to consideration for HC jobs. As long as Cutler sticks to the plan and keeps throwing the bubble and the 3 yard dump off, people will think he worked miracles with Cutler.

Turned the "gunslinger" into a "game manager".

Congrats. It is what it is. We traded a game manager, 2 first round picks, and another pick for... a game manager.

As far as today, luckily, our DC is one of the best in the NFL and put in a great game plan. That and Martin choking up the ball a lot helped.

A phantom facemask and a solid defense bailed out Cutlers inability to throw a ball more than 3 yards and got us a win. It is what it is. I'll take it.

I think the problem is that some people had hope to begin with. Most people had already accepted that Cutler was average.

He's average only when a OC has him throw 3 yard routes....

good game manager...

We gave up a guy who could do that for him. And tossed in 2 first round picks as well. And another pick.

And the clip he was showing showed it wasn't a facemask. Dumb ass.

Yes it did. You have to watch the replay right after the extra point is kicked that made it 7-7. It shows a facemask that is 100 times worse than the one called on Rodgers right before the hail mary.

who the **** cares? you can't fucking change the past. who gives a shit? All I care about is that he's not making dumb mistakes. That's all I wanted out of Cutler this year. If you had told me at the beginning of the season that Cutler would have a 2:1 TD:INT ratio, I would have taken it.

bailed out by a ref call - period.

And one that so far only you have seen....
You must have been busy kicking your dog after the Bears first TD. They literally showed it twice and talked about it for about a minute.

Quickest way to kill a rookie qb, let him play behind this oline. Just look at Aaron Rodgers today behind a bad Oline with NO wr's and Jay isn't in his league. Team sport. Bears need to fix a lot of things this off season including 2 Tackles and a Center.

Why are you making excuses for Jay throw a potential game changing int?

It happened.

Period.

The facemask call (if it happened) was only relevant because a phantom call made a typicaldumb Jay play go away on stats...

and again, even if it happened, it does not make Jays dumb play irrelevant to his overall inaccuracy.

What's funny is the refs missed the more blatant one on the other side of the field. Re watch the play.

People who ONLY watch Bears games have a jaded view on offensive lines.

People who watch ALL NFL games have a much better view.

By an unobjective 3rd party analysis, The Bears still have a top 10 NFL offensive line.

Both in terms of PASS PROTECTION and in terms of RUN BLOCKING.

People think that just becasue Jay has to run a little, his line sucks. NO

EVERY QB HAS TO NAVIGATE THE POCKET.

LEARN THAT.

Here are the FACTS: Bears Oline are #8 in pass protection and #9 in Run blocking.

Quit blaming the fucking line...

Not excuses, just facts. If you want to play the ifs and buts game you have to include the dropped TD by Royal. Or on a larger scale the fact Cutler led the team into position to win two more games that Gould blew, which would have put the Bears in the thick of the playoff hunt at 8-7.

But those things didn't happen, just like the INT, so just STFU about them.

So don't discuss things on a message board that should be discussed just because you say so...

Nah.
