I love how @remydat says he" is pretty sure caleb williams dad backed off because he is being selected by a 7-10 football team" as if he is out rubbing elbows with the guy or has any general idea what is going on in the dudes head/had any idea the guy existed before a couple of months ago. thanks again, Nostradamus!
"The funky thing about the NFL draft process is, he'd almost be better off not being drafted than being drafted first. The system is completely backwards," Carl Williams told Sam Schube of GQ. "The way the system is constructed, you go to the worst possible situation. The worst possible team, the worst organization in the league — because of their desire for parity — gets the first pick. So it's the gift and the curse."

This is what he said. The reality is instead of going to the worst possible situation, team or situation he is likely to be drafted by a team that many pundits are saying is the best situation a QB taken No 1 has ever had. So there would be no reason for him to complain based on his stated issue with the draft.

P.S. Nostradamus was known for making predictions about the future. I made no predictions about the future. I gave my opinion on a past/current event ie Williams seemingly backing down. I am sure the Nostradamus line sounded cool in your head though.

Elaborate? Because besides McMahon and his tiff with the commissioner about wearing apparel I don't remember any loudmouths or obnoxious players. Don't know what team you were watching but it wasn't the Bears.

I said players and coaches and listed Ditka, Ryan and McMahon. Mongo was also a character. Obviously if you were a fan of the Bears you loved them but they had a rep of being cocky and arrogant as a team even if they had more reserved guys like Payton and Singletary. There was always talk that Payton seemed out of place with the rest of that team.

With a mix of road games, domed games, and changing teams over the course of your professional career... this argument makes zero sense in 2024.

You are disparraging a kid because of who his father is.

The SB Shuffle was not done for charity. It was done for Gault's benefit. He sold it to the other players as done for charity but it took years for it to actually go to charity because the record label actually disnt really want it to go to charity.

Mike Ditka and Buddy Ryan were loudmouths. Part of the reason they couldnt get along.

"The one thing about Jim McMahon, which was his curse and also maybe the one thing that made him tolerable was, as obnoxious as he was, he was unrepentant. He knows he's a jerk and he doesn't care that you know he's a jerk and he's not going to say, 'Whoops, I made a mistake,' " says journalist Rick Telander on ESPN Classic's SportsCentury series.

Jim McMahon was an asshole. He mooned TV crews, had frequent outbursts at players and coaches, and disrespected his entire Packers team by showing up to their SB White House appearence in his Bears jersey.

I could go on but in the end I think it is obvious you just have a bit of a double standard here. Deion would have fit right in on the 85 Bears.

As I said charity.....that had nothing to do with being cocky.....

He mooned those cameras for a reason, they were after his every move.....

And I would disrespect that Packer team too, they were the ones who denied us of a 2nd SB with the Charles Martin mugging.....

Ditkas was an asd,but for reasons,he was actually comical.....anyone slamming the media is all right in my book.......

Id quit being a Bear fan if that fuckface was a Bear......

Helicopter had no business at a closed practice.

Ryan and Ditka almost came to blows at the Miami game. Team was so divided that the D carried Ryan off the Field in the SB. Team ostracized Flutie before a playoff game and lost while favored. Dent took plays off. Starters held out in the SB year. Gault barely blocked but drew coverage so.... Hampton hated McMahon, ets, etc.

Just show up and play ball. The rest don't matter if you can do that.

Remy is more of the professor x mind reader type. Maybe he thinks he’s a character from criminal minds or a regular old Sherlock Holmes?

Last year he said poles wouldn’t draft an OL for a slew of reasons that poles was thinking, all of which turned out to be completely dead wrong.

Then he said dhop couldn’t even run and he’s yet to give me an explanation as to how he got 1k yards considering he can’t even run.

Really weird tactics for a guy that frequently makes mutant comments but also pretends he has the ability to read minds.

You said loud and obnoxious. You are wrong. Being cocky is not being as you described. And they weren't even cocky. They were confident. Stop telling bullshit stories about the 85 team. Some youngsters here might even believe your pile of horseshit.

Right none of the below is loud or obnoxious.

No read the article, it was not done for charity. Gault put it together for his own reasons and he got other Bears players to join by saying it was for charity.

McMahon joined the Packers of his own free will and Martin was not a member of that team. It was clearly disrespectful.

Right Ditka being loud and obnoxious is ok because you say so.

be great when Sanders realizes that the Bears built a state of the art domed stadium in the craziest FB town and if Caleb Williams really is the guy he is made out to be and the Bears are in the playoff hunt every year competing for SBs, then the Dome will be subtitled the house that CW built. Sanders is a dipshit for most of his takes.

Deion also talking about where he wants his sons to play. If they end up slipping because of his dumb ass takes and he costs his sons money... Oof.

Now this is a kid with a dad problem. 😂

Appearing on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio with Chris Russo, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders addressed the question of the Bears drafting Williams. Deion at one point pivoted to the impact of Chicago weather on Caleb’s career.

“Let me tell you something that I have a problem with,” Deion told Russo. “And this kid can flat out play, I think he’s the best one on the board this year for sure. A kid that’s coming from California for the last couple years, right? And went to Oklahoma. That’s not terribly cold. Chicago’s cold, man. You gotta think about that kind of stuff when
you’re taking a young man. Like see, when you take a guy from Ohio State and you bring him to Chicago, OK, I could understand that. But from California to Chicago?

Someone should tell Deion where AR played his college ball.
Good thing I wipe a monkeys ass what Deion thinks…

First they aren't going to slip because the NFL has been dealing with Deion for decades and second his sons are already set for life money wise because well Deion us their father. Duh!

I'm really interested in seeing where his son ends up in the scouting process. Travis Hunter, I'm guessing, is a top 10 pick. Smarter people than me might have a better idea about Shedeur.

He should be the top qb. He should be.
Only wildcard is his dad being stupid.
