My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
This is shaping up to be a staff similar to the one Marc Trestman hired.

Aaron Kromer was the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach similar to what Allen is for the defense and Declan is like Mel Tucker.

How dare you invoke Trestman's name 😤

Securing Allen must’ve used up the budget they had for an OC like Shaw. Never heard of this Declan guy before last week but hope he’s good.

I was going to make a joke that "head coach job for Doyle in the next 3 years secured." But maybe this dude is highly regarded around the league as a great mind. Takes one to know one apparently. Johnson said that he needs a guy he trusts to really scout the defense going into gameday in order to effectively prepare an offensive gameplan now that he'll have more duties beyond just being the playcaller.

Dennis Allen is the key hire. He's basically the head coach of the defense.

He's been an offensive assistant and tight ends coach.

The Bears desperately need some crusty coaching experience to add to this staff. Guys that have seen the evolution of defense in the NFL.

Yep - he said specifically that he wanted someone to do all the ground work and scouting through the week so it is set up for him to tweek and go through to call plays on the weekend.

He wanted someone that is systematic and organized...He must have found him. Ben still has all the final say...
