Kind of sad that what I stated about Rose and the Bulls future the night before has been accelerated by this injury. After watching him relative to someone like Westbrook...I didn't see the drive to return to his old self. Those days are gone now. And I doubt seriously if any of his teammates will be waiting for him to come back. It is what it is.

As far as the cap goes, will be interesting how the Bulls handle Rose's contract. Will they explore all options? I don't know, but I think they've run out of whatever hope they had left.
Derrick Rose was coming back from a meniscus tear following an acl tear. I don't remember that being the case for Russell Westbrook.

Also, how can you say he didn't have the drive to return to his former self when he went through two tortuous rehab stints. I also remember some fans being upset with him because he said he wanted to be 110% before he returned from the acl injury.

Poor bastard was only at 100 percent. Never had a chance.

Because what else was he supposed to do? Not play basketball again? They didn't guarantee it. The docs just warned him that it could happen again. So it's pretty much like "You have to get this done, but there's always the chance it could tear again."

I understand, but tear it while it matters... For the Bulls in the regular season, not wear it out in a summer international something or other. I know he tore it in the regular season, but maybe it would have come later... Oh, I don't know.

I'm just aggravated for us fans, for D. Rose and for the Bulls Organization... And I didn't make any lists for poster of the year... good or bad...

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
FWIW: the guy that broke the news on Reddit said he got the info from John Paxson's son and he said it would be a 6 week timetable

but maybe a decision on how to handle it wasn't positivity made yet and thats why we don't have any word on it

Theoretically Rose could return in time for the play-offs and that will be interesting in itself. I know what I'd do if I were Rose and his camp and that would be to bust his ass to return to this team. This assumes that the tear isn't a very serious one. I actually think that really is his only smart decision if he wants to be a viable player for the Bulls going forward.

You don't have to believe what I say...listen to what he said. He wasn't going to be that player anymore....

I think scores of Jazz fans would disagree. Knicks fans too. Or how about Kings fans? I'm sure they hate remembering back to the late 90's and early 00's.

Your point is pointless much like you initial response was.

Then allow me to re-phrase and reiterate what I have been posting for almost 3 years, minus the emotions of being pissed off at the entire situation:

Somewhere along the line, the medical and rehab process went off course...and I do not believe this was the fault of any medical professional.

Btw, I heard Rose might not have surgery until tomorrow? Why the delay?
