Don't count your chicks before they hatch. LeBron James and Dwight Howard are still in the running for this hardware and every bit as deserving. Let's wait till they hand it out to go out awarding the MVP.

My post was about rose and the mvp. C'mon guys. Rose is getting the mvp. We don't have to worry about superstition. As to rose and durant, it'll be a fun battle to watch over the years.

Dont let houff see this because lets face the facts, LeBron is MVP:nope:

Seriously though, i know theres like 13 games to go but Rose has been either 1st or 2nd in the MVP race basically the whole season and now the Bulls are in first and he's been in the drivers seat for quite a bit now. Most of the ESPN talking heads thinks its Rose. The guys on TNT say it too. Its basically a foregone conclusion around NBA circles that Rose is the front runner for MVP and good for him, he deserves it.

I have already posted in this thread...thrice! And I have said since then that things have changed....

Let the Bulls go on a 5 game losing streak and see how many people jump off the bandwagon. Depending on the criteria used, Lebron still has a very good chance to be MVP...best player in the league...having one of the best years statistically...so I find no reason to recant what I said weeks ago...

If the MVP was awarded today, he would get it.

But all it takes is LeBron or Dwight to lead their teams on a huge run (or Rose struggling through rest of year) to close out the season and it could very easily go to LeBron or Dwight.

All I'm saying is...let's wait until the press conference is called to decide who got it.

If the Magic somehow run off like 10 straight wins and finish with a near identical record to the Bulls, Dwight Howard would probably end up deserving the award more than Rose.

Right, its about momentum. Right now, I would have no problem saying Rose is league MVP...just like I had no problems saying Lebron was a month ago...things change, no big deal.

IF the bulls continue to win, and i think they will, rose won't have much to worry about. If the bulls win and rose has inefficient performances for the next ten games, he'll still be in good standing. LEbron is the best player in the league, but this is a political award. Also, howard's team isn't really helping howard out with this award. I think rose is the front runner by a significant margin, but i don't think anyone other than lebron has the chance to upset him.

Too bad the award isnt called "Best Player in the League". And of course you have no reason to recant what you said because youre Mr. Knowitall and youre always right despite common sense telling you that Rose deserves MVP over LeBron. You would never eat crow. Face the facts buddy, youre wrong. Look at everyones MVP rankings, around 6-8 youll see LeBrons teammate, D-Wade. It makes no sense at all.

Everyone is free to believe what they want to believe in. But in no sport, do you ever celebrate early. It has to be mathematically impossible for anyone else to win, in order for an early celebration to be acceptable.

It's not mathematically impossible for Kobe, Dwight, or LeBron to win the MVP. Derrick has a perceived lead in speculation, that's all he has right now.

the great thing about arguing with houheffna is that he's holding all the cards. If you argue using stats, he points out that he's over and above stats. He watches the game. Ahhh, the great basketball mystic, using intuition when it's convenient. Why are you wrong, cause hou watched the game, and he saw it with his own eyes. Never mind how often he's the victim of intuition's folly. Jr smith is a good defender!

Although hou often brings up some good points, i think we all better realize something that everyone from the bullspodcasters learned a long time ago, stop arguing with hou. it's not worth it.

If he don't make the shirts, someone else will, for every championship tshirt sold, there is one burned of the losing team...nothing superstitious about it. If Rose doesn't win the award, it won't be because some guy called him MVP on a forum in Chicago...

This is not like the Miami Heat celebration...which actually might affect MVP votes and has turned some of the media against them...THAT is a dumb move that sends the wrong message. And even that is not a curse...its just a dumb move.

The last I checked, you're not the authority on superstitions. If I have a very small superstition and I believe in some sports jinxes, then by god, you sure as hell aren't going to turn it into a debatable point.

Hou does make a good point here and there. But he lets those few good points get to his head, then follows up with a lot of trash and I would say that to his face.

I dont know bullspodcasters or who hou really is and personally, i really dont care. I know pompous internet "geniuses" when i see them. Just like the forum favorites with their talk show, they act like they know it all and i think its lame.

I watch the games too and have that league pass thing. But what would i know, im not houff so my opinion is irrelevant. I should just face the facts that LeBron is the MVP based off of that one month the Heat completely dominated. Yeah, that makes sense....

Even LeBron James, himself, said earlier in the season that he and Wade are pretty much going to be out of the mainstream running for the MVP award for the remainder of their time together in Miami.

And if Miami loads up and gets a Tyson Chandler-caliber center and an Aaron Brooks-caliber point guard (and run off near 70 wins and win titles) it will likely as a whole hurt James' and Wade's independant value on the Heat.

I never said I was the authority on superstitions, I just think they are stupid...especially when you are not the one playing the game or in control in any way. That is not a reflection of anybody individually, I just think they are very, very silly. Kind of like people who pray for their team to win? Silly to me, doesn't stop people from praying, but whether it helps or harm anything is very debatable as far as I see it, because there is no proof that any "superstitions" work.

If your not the authority, then why do I care and why do you keep reiterating the same babble over and over?

What am I wrong about? My opinion on who the MVP is? Give me a damn break, if you can't be objective in how you look at things, that is your problem. I can be, and my opinion has fluctuated over the year. People on this forum was calling Rose the MVP after the first month, that is their opinion, I may agree or disagree. "Look at everyone's MVP ratings" is not always a good example, because at the time I said what I said, their were a good amount of people who said that Lebron was the MVP and I happened to agree. There is no Mr. Knowitall element to it. So if I am saying right now what I have said the last few weeks about Rose being the leader at MVP...how am I wrong? Doesn't make sense. And why bring up a post from weeks ago? Totally senseless...

And by the way, your boy Pinky agreed with me when I said what I said....

BECAUSE YOU SAID SOME STUPID ASS SHIT AND I DISAGREED WITH YOU! CASE CLOSED!!! I didn't say you were stupid, or the prerequisite "you're not a real bulls fan" crap...I just said in essence that is a dumb ass reason to say another person shouldn't make the post. That is all there is to that...
