Ok serious now.

What does getting DeShaun do for the Bears? I’m not saying not to do it if we can.

The OL still sucks. Houston’s sucked too and Watson lit it up.

We’d still have that idiot Nagy in charge.

What’s their record with Watson? 10-6?
Provides you with one of the top young QBs in the league...

Getting Watson makes the Bears better. Getting Watson makes the offensive line better. Getting Watson makes the play calling better. They'd would have been on the road in Washington in the playoffs.

This isn't difficult.
Bears fans man, jfc.

It's like they want to remain in QB purgatory for infinite because the Bears OL isn't stocked full of All Pros

And even @Leomaz 's boomer ass knows that the Texans OL was worse than what the Bears trotted out there for 16 games. So, if Watson passed for over 4,000 yards with the Texans, it's safe to assume he would have had about 6,000 yards with the Bears.

It's mind numbing. Get the QB and sort the rest out later. I don't even care if we are bad with a good QB for a couple of years. If you get a young franchise QB, you have a 10 year window.

Rodgers is finished.

he just was the most important factor in getting his team to the conference championship....I've been hearing he finished for 3 years now...

Does Watson want to come to a division with Rodgers in it? He probably wants to go somewhere that he can start winning immediately with little in the way of competition.
the only division would be the NFC EAST.

Fun fact: when Pace drafted Trubisky over Watson I was at work and literally slammed my head on a cutting board. He should have been fired then and there.

Wow....I was working late and when the selection was made....I thought it was a mistake. I kept refreshing my computer.
I finally just put my hands over my face and bowed down for a few secs. ?

Culley, 65, has spent the past two seasons in Baltimore as the Ravens' assistant head coach, passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach.

But passing game was mediocre and predictable. At one point Ljack called out the predictable play calling.

There are several reports from Houston, notably from longtime Texans insider John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, that the team still does not intend to trade Watson despite his repeated desires to get away from the organization.
Pretty sure McClain was on the Score this morning. He said the trade request rumors were BS, and they came from “unnamed sources” close to Watson. Said Watson is happy and no chance he was wanting out. Maybe this guy isn’t as plugged in as he thought?

It's depressing that this is something which needs to be constantly explained to Bears fans.

Maybe Mitch and Foles are the quarterbacks this fanbase deserves.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson has requested a trade from the Texans, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Thursday.

It would be nice to hear this directly from Watson.

Top pass rusher

That’s the cost of doing business with the Texans.

They won’t get 3 firsts + , even if Watson is worth it.

Teams, for the most part, overvalue draft picks and the Texans have no leverage. It really does look like Watson is just straight-up done with them.

Watson’s no-trade clause also hurts what could’ve been the value, because if they know there are only a few teams he’ll say yes to, it’s much more of a buyer’s market than it otherwise would’ve been,

The best move for the Texans might be to just take the best deal and call Watson’s bluff on invoking the no-trade clause, basically saying, “Hey, it’s either this team or you’re going this year without getting paid if you don’t report.”

The great unknown is, how badly does Watson truly want out? How desperate is he? It sounds like it’s a no-matter-what situation. If it is, that might be good for the Bears. Who the hell knows, though?
