This is a Stoopid staple, but one that is always on hand in case I need a quick bite and cannot find anything I'm interested in eating.

Crunchy peanut butter, slather on tortilla, roll up, consume. Best with a glass of milk.
No green chillies?

Chicken thighs, salted heavily, pepper. Convection oven at 400 for 30 to 40 minutes.

Gets super crispy skin, serve it with some veg (I usually roast a bunch of beets, Brussels on Sunday for the week)
Yes, I love super seasoned perfectly crispy chicken skin. I have thighs on the grill often.

Lol. Now we're crossing into 'guilty pleasures' thread territory. But you know what else I do? Drizzle the PB with some honey, lightly salt, thinly slice some banana on top, wrap tight like a burrito, then microwave for like 15 seconds.

This post made me incredibly happy for some reason. I think it's your memories of your mom doing the best she could, and you reflecting fondly about that
No doubt. Cheers.

That sounds like something my wife would do. This is an 'oh shit I haven't eaten all day and nothing sounds good' kinda thing versus a decadent guilty pleasure kinda thing that seems more in line with what you are talking about. Although the honey bit I have had on peanut butter and it is legit.

This is more in the line with a memory meal than something that I have had recently or keep around as a staple but my mother used to make "Cream chipped beef on toast" or "Shit on a shingle" for the rest of you when I was a kid and I always loved it.

That and there was this awesome biscuits and savory gravy thing that my grandmother always made as well for dinners. It was basically biscuits with a non cream based gravy on top. I know that my mother and aunts all know the recipe, but I have zero clue how to recreate it.

Oh shit, I knew this would happen. Some simpleton would take issue with the fact that I actually like peanuts in my peanut butter. Let's just not have this argument. You are wrong and that is just going to have to be OK.
