Good to hear. I always get nervous when my family/friends fly somewhere. Even internet broz. My family just got back to Puerto Rico. They wanted me to come, but I don't have vacation time yet at work, plus I liked the idea of being left alone for a week.

Driving an automobile is way more of a risk then flying in a plane. Now, I do think with how advance our technology is now that we could take some extra precautions but they are working on that.

Being able to fly is a miracle and something billions of people before you couldnt even imagine. 150 years ago it took 6 months to go from Chicago to SF and there was a good chance you would die. Now it take 5 hours. It has opened up the world for millions.

The backup systems and shit for planes is astounding. If both engines go out you can chill in the air for a bit and safely land still

While true in a high wing prop-driven Cessna, a low wing commercial jet will soon fall out of the sky without power.

Every plane has a stall speed, or in laymen's terms a minimal amount of forward progress to maintain lift.

The heavier the plane, the faster it must travel.

I have always loved flying & as a teen wanted to be a pilot. I did take a few lessons and soloed 4 hrs but life got in the way of taking that dream to fruition.

Airports can be a PIA these days but airports are still the best place on earth to people watch. I usually get a good laugh.
