Does anyone feel Trubisky was starting to turn it around at the end last year. It seemed to me that for the last 4 games he started to get it. He was making his reads and plays with his legs. He started leading and took control more. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. The O team around him stunk so the numbers were not there.

My question is in the title.

I'll thank you in advance to keep it on topic. We all know each others feelings about Trubisky on the whole. I just wanna know if you seen a difference at QB the last 4 or 5 games of last season.

Remember in the middle of last year, after Trubisky's fifth straight terrible game, we for a brief moment all got on the same page and understood that Trubisky was never going to be a good quarterback in the National Football League?

Ah, good times.

No he still sucked it's just that the back half of the schedule had both games against Detroit.

He started not being afraid to use his legs. We will see how he does this offseason. Hopefully he does well enough to take the job. Would be a sigh of relief if he did well this year and the Bears could keep him

According to PFF, Trubisky is the least accurate QB among starters. The only reason he doesn't grade out as the worst QB is because he can run. When he runs, he goes from being the worst QB in the NFL to not the worst QB in the NFL. The odds that this is fixable is very low since these concerns were raised in team drills in training camp when he didn't have to worry about being sacked.

In short, there is no evidence that Trubisky is a starting level QB. Maybe, just maybe, his accuracy improves paradoxically when he is rolling out.

He is fucking terrible.

Anemic as fuck.

A dumb football player.

A momma’s boy with zero leadership skills.

Just look at the way Nagy treats him.

I need another moniker name change.

His games late against Detroit and Dallas were encouraging. He has plenty of talent. It needs to slow down for him and he has to settle the fuck down. He has the ability and it will be his third year in Nagy's system. It is put up or good bye.

As everyone knows, I'm not a Trubisky supporter, and I think he looked good the last four games. I've been saying that all along. In my mind, he seemed to stop giving a fuck the last few games and just played.

Sometimes I think he knew the team was not going to make the playoffs, and he knew he might not be able to cut it as an NFL starter...and it was like a weight was lifted. He didn't seem to have his standard horrible overthrows in the last games.

But even if he comes in this year and plays like he did that last four, he's simply going from league worst to average. Like being a shit sandwich and improving to a spam sandwich.

I do think something put a bit of a spark under him after being benched at the end of the Rams game. The early/middle stretch of the season is what really derailed him and his confidence. I think something began to click that told him, this may be it for him.

Hopefully competition brings out the best of him. I wonder if he takes it personally at all that the Bears brought in the one QB who beat him in the playoffs to now potentially take his job? I hope so. He needs some motivation to reach his potential, because he was getting to comfortable playing dress up and trying to be a pretty boy.

I guess the passer rating against the better teams says it all (stop bitchin with the last game vs Min. plz).
Shitty OL and no ground game, sure, but is it the only reason?

I thought he started playing better in the rams game. Lot of people disagree but i was just watching the game thinking he was looking better than he had been. Not like that was saying much. But he made some tight throws.

but whatever I’m not expecting him to be a bear this time next year

The Dallas game was what I really hoped Trubisky would be, even after a red zone interception on his first drive when they were behind 7-0. 10 days later against the Packers another shit show. I'm a 'there's more to blame than Trubisky' guy, so maybe a second year Head Coach has learned something along the way. I just don't want a 1/15 game ratio of good to bad. I could maybe live with the Rex Grossman ratio.

It was weird with Rex, he actually got worse over time. When he did the Jeff George flinch at ghosts thing, you knew it was over.
