I did no such thing. A question was posed and I answered it against the popular belief of the respondents. If the question had no other answer why was it even asked or answered by anyone? Sorry, the only ones saying it's my way or the highway seems (and notice I said seems) to be you and others
I'm cool with you saying that Rose doesn't have this "IT" thing as discussed in the article. There have been others who have disagreed with me and I'm fine with that. The only issue I have with your claim is that it's based only upon your definition of "IT" and not what was presented in context. The question was basically, does Rose have the killer instinct to close out a game? Or perhaps better stated, "is Rose clutch?" You can say no, and I will say you're wrong and present my argument, and perhaps in my own stubbornness that might seem like it's my way or the highway. If so, I apologize.

Nevertheless, here's what I saw from my perspective

OP-"Does Rose have the killer instinct to close out games?" (in the context of "IT" being defined as “It” is the will-to-win and, most importantly, that killer instinct.)
Your response-"No because players with "IT" don't sit out"
Me-"I thought he was referring to having the killer instinct to close out games"
You-"Players with killer instincts play"

In my mind you basically ignored the original definition and replaced it with your own. Now if your answer to the original definition is still no, then that's that.

Good point. But I think I would counter that there are a lot of players that can close out a game. So it lost it's meaning for me based on that.

So what does this all mean? Do you hate Derrick Rose? Do you no longer cheer for him and the Bulls? Whats the point of being bitter about it? My original point of "it" was the will to kill when needed. The want to take the last shot, the will to attack when the games on the line, not being afraid of the big moment. I think he's proven those things.

He's played through numerous nagging injuries. Back problems, grade 2 ankle sprain in the playoffs. I think he thought thats something he may go through again if he comes back last season.

Apprciate your opinions, just dont agree with them. Just dont understand why you care if you knew Bulls couldnt win a title last season?!

Check back with him when they've won one....

This is a true statement, but you have to agree that having a clutch player is better than not having a clutch player. Imagine if Rose was not clutch...this team would be screwed. Having a player that can not only dominate through 3 quarters, but carry a team through the 4th quarter is a huge asset and not one that every team has. And every player that is like that is one of the best players in the NBA. Now that might not be special to you, but for a team like Orlando who has no one like that, they're mad jealous.

Given him sitting out last year after being cleared and saying he felt like he couldn't handle that, I would say he most definitely doesn't have "IT". At least not on the level of Michael, Magic, Larry. And Yes, Lebron absolutely has "IT." Now can Rose get there? Much better question IMO
I'm going to disagree (that does not mean that I agree with what the OP has going on). The problem, as I see it is two fold:
1. The organization, which basically conceded that they were not going to win a title this year. No doubt in my mind. They certainly beat the drum with speculation that Rose might have played because this team over achieved this year. Certainly part of this, imo at least, deals with the GarPax-Thibs problems. GarPax knew exactly what Thibs would have done with Rose, especially after Game 1 in Miami. There is nothing that leads me to believe otherwise.
2. Rose is kind of a moron. He honestly does not seem at all like a smart guy. Which is fine, I don't care if he thinks 2+2 = 5, I just want him to score 25 a night. That, plus, I don't think his people (read: Reggie Rose) are that smart either.

All that being said, Rose is an assassin. He smells blood, he's going after you.

Derrick Rose has already proven he has the it factor. If you've watched bulls games since he's been on the team you'd be able to tell that. The real question is how good can Jimmy Butler become? In my mind he's the x-factor this year.

That implies that I cheered for him prior.

I'm not.

As has a bunch of players which for me makes the question not so meaningful.

Wait, so you can only care about a team if you think they can win a championship?

I agree it is better to have more clutch than less.

The team did quite well without him last year so I am not sure your second part works.

Carlos Boozers cap number makes me want to punch babies. I can't stand that he's still on the team.

The Bulls window closing is laughable though. Maybe Deng and Boozers windows are closing, but the rest of our Core is young and we have a 25 year old superstar who other stars will want to come and play with in a huge market city.

1) Who makes up the Bulls core?
2) Yes, everyone wants to play with Derrick except for all the quality FA the past few seasons who all turned the Bulls down.

He didn't pay himself. Be mad at managment. Honestly he's been one of the most consistant Bulls on the team. Always at 15-17 and 8-10 and has harldy missed games. I knew he couldn't play D, that wasn't a secret. I think this will be his last season and they may even look to move him this year. Managment has put this team in a horriable position moving forward. This signing surly didnt help that. But, Carlos has showed up man

Oh i'm not mad at Boozer, I was never happy with that signing. Wasn't the 1st questionable move by management, won't be the last either. Just the most expensive recently.

Is this a fact? Whats your source? Is it they dont want to play with Rose or the Bulls managment cant get these deals done? Bulls have long had a problem trying to sign fA. They sent Benny to greet TMac for Gods sack!!! I get down on this team a lot for questionable decisions but damn are you negative. Its toxic to live that way. Every single post from you is negative, snarcky remarks. Try enjoying this team once in a while. It's actually fun

The fact is there have been no top FA to come to the Bulls. If the player wanted to play with Rose he would be playing with Rose. Period. Want proof? See Miami.

You want to chug kool-aid and not be a critical thinker of your favorite team, go ahead.

I'm not the one that goes around being blind. I paid Rose a compliment and even allowed for further greatness. You need to learn to be critical especially as an amateur "journalist."

On a side note, please comment after the quote, not before. It's confusing. Thanks.

I'm very critical of these team. Listen to the Bulls Zone. I dont believe they have enough to beat Miami. However I wont pollute message boards with toxic opinons. They had one chance at a max FA, James chose his buddies and latina infused ass in miami. Cant blame him. Please share the others and your source. Fact is Bulls have only had 1 chance at a max player while Rose has been here. "journalist" thanks for the compliment. This is a hobby for me. Just like wasting days with your negativity is for you. Try chuging the Kool-Aid once but spike it with Vodka so maybe you wont hate life for a night.

When was this said. My point is, the will to want to better yourself for the future out weighs another playoff game victory. I dont belive the risk of Rose coming back was worth it. I feel he made the right decision moving forward. Give him time to prove it istead of crying about it on message boards.
