You could have gone without saying "Cant just make claims like that". Comes off like youre calling people liars before they even get to respond to your question.

Maybe if you were a Bulls fan for more than two months, you might have known the story already.

Ok?

Zo was a shell of his former self that season same with Payton. Wade lead that team in points, assists, and steals.

Antoine was on the downside of his career. Haslem is "a guy", Posey at the time and still today is a nice defender and not much else.

What's your point? The Heat were a good team with A budding super star, a "starting to slide superstar" with Shaq and solid role players? Is this a shock? Wade was one of the best players in the league that year. To somehow downgrade the accomplishment of that championship because a championship team had other good players on it is asinine. I don't see anyone nitpicking Boston's recent runs to a title and the Finals.

Championship teams are going to generally have a super star and some pretty darn good players around him. Not sure why Wade's 2006 title should be viewed in a different light.

None of the the Folks on that team were on the downslide of their career except Zo who retired the next year. Wade had an amazing team that helped secure hat championship especially with Shaq who was still in his prime and coming off a Lakers championship. Speaking of Shaq remember when Kobe was getting questioned that he couldn't win a championship without him? Yeah replace the word Kobe with Dwayne right now because ever since Shaq left the Heat, Wade and company have been ousted from the first round every single year except this year when him,James and Bosh came up with a pretty good plan.

Incredibly wrong.

Walker was. Payton was. And Shaq had begun his slide. Shaq's prime ended his second to last season in LA. His title winning year in Miami he averaged the fewest points of his career up to that point and was the first time in his entire career averaging less than 10RPG. He also played his fewest MPG of his career to that point and it was the last time he would average more than 30MPG.

To say that Payton wasn't on the downside of his career when it was his second to last season in the NBA is both inaccurate and incredibly hilarious. Payton's assist numbers that year were the lowest of his career to that point and he was under 10PPG for the first time since his second season in the league. He saw drops across the board in production, including shooting percentage.

Walker was as well. He was out of the league 2 years later and averaged his lowest marks in PPG, RPG, APG, of his entire career.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Shaq who was still in his prime and coming off a Lakers championship
Incorrect on both counts.

First is right, many of those guys were on the downside of their careers. While i think he doesnt give that cast enough credit, he is right.

Gary Payton was drafted in 1990. His first year with the Heat was his 16th season. Walker and Poser were in the league for near 10 years. Shaq probably had his last productive years with Miami. Haslem was Taj Gibson for them. Jason Williams wasnt the player he once was either. Derek Anderson... The only youth that team had was Wade, Haslem and Kapono as far as guys who really contributed.

Those guys were quality role players at the time and in Shaqs case he was still a demanding prescence in the lane and a high quality player. Not the Shaq of 3 seasons before but he was still a Top 25-30 player in the league at the time. I'm just not going to paint the picture that Wade won his championship surrounded by two HOF'ers in their prime and two other all stars in their prime because that wasn't the case. It's disingenuous and flat out factually inaccurate.

Saying flatly "Yeah Wade had Zo, Shaq, Payton Walker, etc", kind of paints that picture and it's ridiculous.

Like I said, no one downplays Allen, Pierce, Garnett etc for their run so I'm not going to bag on Wade who IMO was surrounded with less when he won his.

Yeah youre right. It wasnt the most talented bunch at that stage of their careers but it was enough. It wouldnt have been if Wade didnt go off the way he did. The next year everyone saw how truly old the Heat were. It resulted in Loul Deng getting 80million dollars.

By 2006, Shaq was about 3 years past his prime...though he was an allstar and a dominant player. He was a star player but no longer played at a superstar level.

I have to say I am shocked that I was asked to back up what I said about Wade...not only did he say those things about Reinsdorf, he had the audacity to say he deserved some of the credit for Pippen getting his position with the Bulls that he now has. Unbelievable...

Since then, I have always had something against Wade. And yes, I think there is a bit of something brewing between Wade and Rose. I don't think however that its festered yet. I compared it a bit to Isiah/Jordan, who became mortal enemies. Jordan disliked Isiah so much he wouldn't allow Isiah on the Dream Team in 1992. Will Wade/Rose go that far? I don't know about that....

What's funny is I talked about this on the first episode of the Barbershop. I see the makings of it happening....but not now...

it should heat up(no pun intended) in the coming seasons, I dont see much there yet, aside from maybe some Chicago bragging rights, and NBA dominance. Maybe in the coming years after this off-season free-agent arms race itll brew to something personal.

Or maybe he was just sending Wade a message: "I don't need Lebron and Chris to win an NBA Championship. You do!"

My memory could be fuzzy but I'm pretty sure Wade already has a ring with neither of those two's help.

I am aware of that.

First of all, I was joking. It was a little bit of tongue-in-cheek trash talking. Second, the Idea goes against Rose's very humble nature. While he is extremely competitive (even when playing "Monopoly") he cares more about winning than making other players look bad.

Third, we know that Rose would have welcomed James or Wade, but really didn't care if they came to the Bulls or not. Wade was very aggressive in recruiting James and Bosh. And fourth, The Bulls have done better this year without James and Bosh than the Heat have done with them. 4-0 head to head. That's all I was saying.

Wade had a really good team around him in 2006, obviously. In 2007-2010, not so much. But this Bulls team is pretty good, too.

ESPNChicago had an article over the weekend talking about how LeBron and Wade said they "almost" became Bulls. Total ****-and-bull from LeWade's part.

Yeah, they were never going to become Bulls. We're 3 wins away from showing them that they made a mistake, lets do it Rose!

Whoa there egomaniac. You really think that once you join this board. Thats when you become a Bulls fan. Look at the big Ego on Brad!:obama:

Son I have been a Bulls fan since many of you were conceived in the original arena's bathroom.

But if joining this board does suddenly certify me as a Bulls fan. Do I like get some sort of membership card, or do I just keep getting to converse with such amazing people like yourself?

Thats it? Thats all you got?

Alrighty then. Anywho, I really don't think these 2 hate each other. I really don't think any of these players hate each other these days.

I mean even after what Lebron did he was still sqawking it up with the Cavs bench, & they seemed to respond positively. So no I don't think there is any hate there. Just on court competition.

What else should i say? Anyone whos truly followed this team during the last FA period knows all about the Wade comments. It had nothing to do with your sign up date. In fact, i never even looked at it.

No offense but some of your posts just gave me the impression that youre not too familiar with whats been going on in the NBA. Its whatever though. Just dont say posters are making false claims because you are unaware of the situation. Ask for a source.

Those aren't disses. He is just thinking out loud. He probably just mentioned to a reporter his thoughts, & that reporter decided to blow it up.

The reason I didn't remember that little detail was because it is completely pointless. It went in one ear & out the other. I wasn't butt hurt by it so much that I needed to hang on to it for almost a year.
