What specifically did you dislike about his draft?

The 4th round pick linebacker was a headscratcher but he's a 5 star recruit and an excellent athlete.

Outside that, the first two picks were ben johnson picks(Loveland, Burden) and the other 2 2nd rounders look to be high upside tackles.

I personally love the draft so far outside of the headscratcher linebacker.

The trade down was smart too, netted back the 4th you traded for thuney. We can use that to trade for help midseason.

Get me a RB like martinez in the 5th and a safety or backup guard/DE in the 6th

He has been a faithful steward of money. That is his primary job, and that is several points in his favor.

I don't like all the personnel moves over the entire tenure, but the past two years have been a lot of good stuff. Especially because he brought in the hot name for offensive coaches, and paired him up with a really good DC.

I give him a B so far, and so he does not suck. Is he great? Time will tell. Does he have room to improve? Totally.

well lets see.. Taking a TE at 10 when your LT is literally replacement level and injured, not taking an Edge rusher, taking a project DT, taking a #3 at 39 when still gaping holes at LT, Edge, DT, Safety all exist...there is 1 football to go around and now you have 3 WRs, 2 TE, 1 RB meanwhile trenches are still neglected...yes I know he signed/traded some good (but not young OL) and a washed up DT ,and a colossal bust prospect DE for big money BUT NO he still hasnt done a fucking thing to address the LT situation..but hey Ryan Poles is smartest GM in league. Let him cook....meanwhile its what year fucking 4 of this bullshit

listen I give credit when and where its due. The coaching hires had me excited for 1st time in Poles tenure. I was luke warm during FA because we addressed LG, C, RG. Those were big upgrades albeit expensive and older but I was fine with it. I hated both the washed out DT and the massive overpay for Edge that has done absolutely fucking nothing. Then this draft hit. **** this clown

Feels like he's allergic to adding quality depth on the offensive and defensive lines. If one starter goes down, is there a real plan? But don't worry, our hoard of 5th-7th rd picks will be there to save the day across the board!

We have a difference of opinion on the draft. I think if you bring in the best OC to be your new HC, you have to give him the keys to formulate his own offense. I don't think that you land the candidate otherwise. Were the trenches perfectly built, would you think that Loveland and Burden were good investments?

Personally, I am struck by how flush with weapons we are. I also wanted an LT to compete, but that aint how the dice fell this time around. And I wanted Mykel Williams at 10 after Banks went right in front of us, because I want Love and Goff to take the beating that Williams had to last year. I think that the biggest thing in his favor is his handling of money. When you look to the salary tables, there isn't dead weight to accommodate for. It could be because I am so anti Pace for racking up credit card debt that he wasn't around to pay off, that I am pro Poles. Most of Poles moves are money-smart, and I am sick of money-dumb, inside and outside of football.

I want to turn pro Poles into a stripper joke but I am failing here. Someone funnier than me, please help a guy out.

Most of your issues are ben johnson decisions

So do you think ben johnson is an idiot?

Ryan poles paid cole kmet, Ben Johnson decided he was not good enough to be a 3rd target and got a slot WR and a slot TE.

I honestly dont understand some people.

You beg for ben johnson to come here, then you have zero faith when he builds his offense in his own image.

Ryan poles did not take a tight end at #10, ben johnson took him.
Read what you wrote just before this. A slot TE and a slot WR. Like wtf are they doing?

After laporta they speculated more 12 alignment. Does burden play over dj moore and Rome? Does burden line up in the backfield I guess? It’s weird

Yes to all of the above.

My guess is dj moore will no longer be doing the screen/toss work that he didnt seem to like anyways. That will go to burden.

I'm sure they will run a good bit of empty back sets too, or burden in the backfield like you said. This isnt going to be the detroit offense. Thats pretty clear when they decided swift is a good enough RB

Also both these picks are clearly for 2026 when cold cement is traded. Then loveland will be your starting TE and burden your starting slot.
